Is it on???

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our new dishwasher a little over a month ago. We LOVE it!! Our dishes are so squeeky clean and out machine works great. BUT! We love how quiet it is. We have even had to put our ears down to the door to see if it is on. LOVE It

Works fine, poor rack design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher works adequately and is fairly quiet. Interior seems smaller that our last 24" dishwasher. Biggest disappointment is the rack design: some times are too close together so bowls don't fit well. Some tines are very short on the upper rack and nothing fits well in them. And the lower rack is designed so that some items are stacked left to right and others front to back, the result of which is less usable space. Plus the utensil holders don't sit well on the sides of the lower rack. It appears that all Bosch models currently have this same rack design, and overall I'm not happy with the dishwasher because of this. I would have thought that there were aftermarket racks of a different design that could be bought but there doesn't seem to be such a thing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet Dishwasher

We got this dishwasher a month ago and have been very pleased. It is quiet and cleans well. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was the design of the lower rack. It is very difficult to place pots and pans. If there was one less row of plate spines on the front and left side of the lower rack, then cookware and larger items could be placed on their sides easily around the plates and smaller items.

Not worth the annoyances

We bought this dishwasher in the summer of 2013. I saw a number of good reviews, and as I recall Consumer reports rated it highly as well. Most of the bad reviews I read focused on the difficulty positioning dishes (I thought maybe they were dishwasher novices). I've regretted the purchase since about 6 months after the purchase.
I have tried every variation of loading that I can think of and I can't get a respectable load out of it. With just a three person family, I can't get a days worth of dishes in without crowding it (room to spare in our old dishwasher). With all the complaints about this one aspect, I'd think Bosch would come up with new rack design and send them to customers free of charge.
It was reported to do well with pots and pans - I respectfully disagree; it only has limited applications.
Even with quality soap and rinse aids, a cloudy ring lingers around glasses. Silverware (particularly knives) often have remnants of food left. As of late, an odd gritty substance is found on a lot of dishes, especially top rack items.
It may be high efficiency, but a standard wash time takes approximately 2 hours 20 minutes. On a busy cooking day, it's faster and more reliable to do things by hand.
The only plus to the machine is that it is quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
