Excelent dishwasher

Not perfect. Not bad

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So as to end on a positive note, let's start with the defects.
I don't like the cutlery rack. I find the slots into which each individual item are to be dropped time-consuming and unnecessary and I doubt that they contribute anything to the quality of the wash. I should prefer there to be just the open basket sections which form half of the cutlery holder.
I would like the lower level racks at least to be fold-flat so that pots and pans can be placed on a level surface.
I have just had a very bad wash leaving several items of both cutlery and cookware with baked on residue, most of which wasn't on at the start of the wash, and which required steel wool scrubbing to clean. I checked the propellor and the filter to find the cause and found the internal filter (which had been cleaned at least once during the short month of use which the machine has had) had a covering of sludge which required scrubbing off. The subsequent wash which included a dishwasher cleaning tablet, was a lot better.
So what do I like?
This is a 50db dishwasher and is impressively silent.
Many modern dishwashers seem to me to have an unnecessary and rarely used range of washing options. This one has some but not as many!
I recently found that I could not make the dishwasher start and that I was receiving what I thought was an error message on the display which I could not identify from the User Manual. So I called Bosch Support and the problem was identified and solved.
In summary, I have used a number of dishwashers over the last few decades. I have had consistently good experiences with Italian products which usually last for about 10 years. It remains to be seen whether Bosch can beat that. I hope so.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received this dishwasher yesterday to replace our old one that died. Install went well and we ran a load last night. Very quiet. However, we need to dry a different cycle - ran for over 2 hours.
