Really good for the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife always wanted a Bosch dishwasher, and now she has one. It is quiet, and really gets the dishes clean. We have not had any problems with it, after 3 months of usage. But it's not hard use; there are just 2 of us. Just for the record, I'm the one (husband) who usually operates the dishwasher. We're both retired; my wife cooks, I clean up.
I have 2 complaints about his dishwasher, and both have to do with available cycles. Our old dishwasher had a Rinse Only cycle, which we used a lot. Since we don't create very many dirty dishes in any one day, it takes us several days to create a full load. Each day we would put in our few dishes and run it on Rinse. We miss the Rinse cycle. In order to work around that we run the Bosch dishwasher on Express Wash (30 minutes) almost every day, and then a full wash about every 3rd day. Express Wash is a rinse, followed by a quick wash, and then a rinse. I put in a little dishwasher detergent, and It gets glassware and coffee cups clean. But I would still rather have a plain Rinse cycle.
Finally, our old dishwasher had a Soak & Hold cycle. Since we have pretty hard water, I used to put all of our often-used plates and other items in the dishwasher about once a year and then pour a gallon of white vinegar in the bottom. I would then run it on Soak & Hold (runs for about a minute every 15 minutes, for 4 hours), which removes all the mineral scale from both the dishes and the inside of the dishwasher. I miss that cycle, too.
I know, I should have read the manual before I bought the Bosch dishwasher, but I thought those cycles, especially Rinse Only, were standard. Shame on me.

Best dishwasher made!

I have had 2 Bosch dishwashers . Just bought this house last July , it had another brand dishwasher which quit running before Thanksgivings so I bought a Bosch and love it! Cleans without rinsing but I do rinse anyway and is very quit.
