Extremely Quiet - Learning Curve to Load

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher offers real value for the price. Cleaning performance is excellent. No exposed heating element. I love that there is a power button (on/off). Cycles (Heavy, Auto, Normal, Delicate, Express, Half Load) easy to select. Also has a light to tell you when the rinse-aid dispenser needs to be refilled. Most important of all, you will likely not hear the dishwasher running. It is advertised to be 50 Dba, but you really have to get up close and put an ear up to it to hear it running.
This dishwasher has an "updated" rack system. There is one set of adjustable tines in each of the top and bottom racks. Loading the dishwasher can be a challenge. A few of the rows of tines are simply two narrow to hold very large plates or bowls. Fitting large water glasses into the designated spaces is also a problem. We often wind up rearranging the whole load each time we add more dishes. Our model has the "long silverware basket," and there is plenty of room for silverware. Large mugs (about four of them) can be loaded onto the fold-down "champagne-glass" holders, leaving quite a bit of space underneath for smaller cups or glasses.
The upper rack is adjustable to two different heights. The lower adjustment allows you to load items in the top rack that are quite tall. However, there is a spray arm under the top rack, and you have to be careful not to load bottom-rack items (like oversized plates) that could be high enough to interfere with the top-rack spray arm.
Turning on the "Sanitize" option before starting the dishwasher seems to do a good job of sanitizing and improve drying performance; however, it adds about 20 minutes to the cycle time.

So Quiet!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love this dishwasher! After installing it and hitting the start button I had to strain to hear if the unit was even working! Of course in a house with 4 kids it can be difficult to hear over the normal 75-100 decibels (considering that this unit is only 50dBa). Of course with this many people in the house you can imagine the sheer volume of dirty dishes we generate in a day so we also appreciate how well this dishwasher washes. This is a great dishwasher. We would recommend this to anyone.

With our old dishwasher you almost had to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Not now. Stains in cups from drinking tea were gone in one wash and the film on bottom of glasses was not there. Love the quietness. Has to be one of the best purchases we have made in some time.

First time Bosch owner

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dishwasher after looking up reviews on other competitor companies. Bosch seemed to always be at or near the top, so my decision was pretty simple. I always knew Bosch made power tools but didn't know they made dishwashers. I was glad to find this washer within our price range. Here are a few of the pros/cons:
+SUPER quiet. I cannot imagine a quieter dishwasher. You've got to be pretty close to it to know it is on and running.
+The user's manual is very straightforward. Operating the machine is easy to figure out.
+The dishes come out clean and shiny...the machine does what it's supposed to do.
+The delay start option is a great feature that I appreciate having.
+The display panel is clean and looks nice.

-The bottom rack has a bit too many tines, which makes it hard to fit in certain bigger bowls and dishes.
We've only been operating our dishwasher for a couple of weeks but have been impressed with how it's been cleaning and how quiet it is. Glad we bought it!
