Not too sure this is for Seniors

Have had this dishwasher for over a month now. It's tricky to get the soap loaded. Then to turn it on is like building a puzzle; Press the On/Off button, press & hold down the >button, then simultaneously press & release the Start button. Now release the > button. Then press the > button to select the option you would like to adjust. When all this fails, just try again. Keep at it, it does finally click in. Oh, and it is very quiet! It's really very hard to hear it running.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good but not great

Good on dishes, not so good on pots and pans. Rack makes it difficult to arrange large items. Average on heavily soiled items. Leaves some items wet, even in the high drying mode.

Great machine for the price

We've owned a high end Bosch in the past and it was so fantastic, we decided their cheaper model would be worth a try. We were right! $ for $ the best $500 dishwasher ever! Quiet and super clean dishes.

Lasted just over 2 years...

We bought this dishwasher June of 2012, it's now Nov 2014 and it's ready to be replaced. There is a horrible high pitched whining noise coming from the dishwasher when it is run and it stops mid-cycle. We think it may be the pump motor. We bought this dishwasher because of the great user and Consumer Report reviews, big mistake!
As a family with small children, we don't have the time to deal with a broken dishwasher. It's very frustrating knowing we have to go out and get a new one during the middle of the holiday season.

Great dishwasher

The bottom rack tends to go off the track unless it is pulled out very carefully. Otherwise this dishwasher works like a champ.

Don't buy it

I bought this dishwasher three years ago. The detergent holder hasn't worked correctly for the past two years, and the dishes are never dry at the end of the cycle. Glasses are filmy.

Nothing short of being great!

I was waiting for my old dishwasher to go, and quite frankly was glad it did LOL. It was I HAD to take with the new house. I was first drawn to Bosch by its newspaper ads. I then did research and saw mostly great reviews. The only negative was a odor that was reported by some buyers. We never encountered anything close to a foul odor, right from the get go. We were glad to get rid of our old dishwasher with a tower. This has no tower or heating element, both features we really like. It should be noted that the washer is a smidge narrower then most dishwashers available. We were told because it is also designed for European kitchens. No big deal, I think its about less then inch lost. There are flaps on the side to give the unit a complete look. We like the buttons being on the front. Quiet? You have to sometimes put your ear to the door to make see if it is running. The only negative worth mentioning, is that the unit does not turn itself off. When the readout reads 0:00 you have to push the button to turn off the unit. It was recommended by the installer to do this as soon as possible.
Of course it should be mentioned that it does an excellent job of washing your dishes, which is what it is supposed to.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very quiet and dishes come out real clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought dishwasher 3 months ago and happy I did. The dishes are way cleaner than my last dishwasher, and it is a very quiet machine. With my old dishwasher I had to turn up the volume on the TV it was so loud but now I just leave volume alone.
