Trim and lack of a finish light indicator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If unit is fastened with controls hidden the vinyl side trim fin would not cover side gap. Taken me a while to accept there is no light to indicate wash complete. Solid unit, quiet, and excellent washing.

Great machine - just a couple of small complaints

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WE have had our Bosch installed and running for some time. I was a bit hesitant after reading some earlier reviews about some aspects of the machine, but while things like plastic bowls and cups are not completely dry, we have been happy with the product. It is super quiet and we can run it while we are at home - not something we could do with our previous model! The only gripe I have is that there is no good location for us to place cereal bowls. With 5 kiddos under the age of 15, we use a lot of bowls and there just did not seem to be a lot of thought going into where the bowls would go.

Our new Dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this to replace our failing GE dishwasher and could not be more pleased with it. The Ascenta is easily the best dishwasher we have ever had! The stainless steel tub is cleans up much better than the plastic ones we have used in the past AND I expect a much longer life for the appliance.
One of the unexpected aspect of the Bosch Ascenta is how quiet it runs. I installed it in the same place as the old GE and it is SO much quieter that I had to double check that it was running!
Anyway it great and I will be purchasing other Bosch appliances in the future.

Horrible racks

We had ia previous model of identical dishwasher. There is a HUGE difference in quality. We matched the model because a) we were happy with earlier model and b) we wanted to make sure it fit into same space. The racks are HORTIBLE. Impossible to load and when you slide bottom rack in it has nothing to keep it from sliding off to the side. Omg. Im almost 80 and have loaded more dishwashers than i can count. Never seen anything like this. I swear every time ihave to load it. Btw we feel our previous dw died too early. In a 2nd home and used 3-4 months/year. Definitely dont recommend Bosch

My dishes are sparkling clean, my house is quite while it is running, I'm saving on both water and electric usage. I like the abilty to stack the dishes where I want them to be without worry of breakage. Don't delay, buy your Bosch today!

Review of Ascenta Dishwasher

I purchased this dishwasher as it was highly recommended by Consumer Reports. It cleans well and is very quiet which are definite strengths. My rating reflects the dishwasher racks which I find not helpful for today's dishes and glasses which tend to be large and thick. The dishwasher will load better with thin dishes. We also wanted functionality with being able to lower tines on the bottom rack, but that is not possible as the tines are fixed. The upper rack does have a row of tines that move, so there is more funcationality on the top rack.

Not happy despite the reviews

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We did a lot of research before purchasing this unit. We have had some problems with the unit. FIrst, it does not seem to clean as well as the Kenmore unit we had to replace. We follow all of the instructions/recommendations, but not all of the silverware in particular gets clean. We do not seem to load as many dishes in the unit. And there is no way to tell when a cycle is done without opening the door. While this is not a major problem, it is an annoyance.
