Quiet, efficient, good performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After our now 7 year-old dishwasher (brand not mentioned, bu not Bosch) finally died, after limpingalong for a while, we needed a replacement quick. Because of the pandemic, finding one, specifically a Bosch, wasn't easy, not when we wanted a white one to match our other appliances. The Ascenta SHX3AR72UC seemed to be the best choice given the limited availability of models in white.
Once installed, the diswasher performed quite well and, despite not being the quietest Bosch model, was remarkably quiet to our ears, more so than any dishwasher we have owned up to this point. Dishes came out clean (what more could we ask for), and we are quite pleased. As for longevity, that remains to be seen, but all indications are that it will last longer than our previous one - thankfully.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic value dishwasher

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit replaced one which lasted 7 years until the rails on the upper rack came apart and spit little ball bearings all over. I see that the new one has a completely different system and that could not happen. IOt does a great job whether lightly or heavily loaded.

Don't buy this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is not well laid out for putting in dishes. It isn't that quiet (my previous Whirlpool was quieter). And it just feels cheap like I bought it at Wal-Mart. Stupid me bought it sight unseen based on CR recommendation. Lesson Learned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very quiet, doesn't dry well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've heard very good things about Bosch dishwashers and I was excited to use mine. I did have issues with the lack of ease when I wanted to change the default settings. I had to refer to the manual (which was not clearly written) to change the beeping and the drying modes. Changing the settings seemed unnecessarily complicated. Why not just have an "extra dry" and "silent" button? The dishes came out clean, but even at the dry setting many of the dishes were not fully dry. My older machine actually did a better job of drying. The dishwasher is extremely quiet, so much so that an "Active" light would be very helpful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
