Solid cleaning performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher cleans and dries so much better than the 15 year old unit we replaced that comparing them doesn't seem beneficial. I started out filling the detergent cup to the lowest line and haven't had a reason to increase the amount. It literally uses only 1 tablespoon per load.
As the old unit aged, it took longer and longer to wash a load so I'm blown away by how quickly this Bosch finishes. Everything is clean and dry and streak free and that's all I can ask for.
The single complaint I have at this time is the location of the condensation vent opposite the silverware trays. Maybe they need to be opposite, I don't know, but I know that large, flat items such as cutting boards shouldn't be stacked in front of the vent and there isn't a good place, aside from in front of the vent, to place them.

Annoying

I bought through Costco sight unseen based on the Bosch name and the overall price, which included installation and removal of my broken dishwasher.
There is no way to see whether the dishes are clean unless you open the door to read the status as the statuses are all hidden under the counter when the door is closed.
Most annoying is that the dishes are never dry when done even though I have used as recommended Finish rinse aid. I have adjusted the drying to intensive drying and it still doesn't dry very well. I realize this is a luxury problem but I am still unhappy each time I unload and have to dry dishes before putting them away.

Your dishwasher is designed to dry using the PureDry® condensation drying system. This is an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not pull in outside air or use an exposed heating element. This process works by heating the dishes with hot water during the final rinse. The cooler stainless steel pulls moisture from the dishes. The inside of the unit will be wet at the end of the cycle, but the dishes should be dry. It's important to note that plastics don’t retain heat as well as other dishware materials and don’t dry as well. To improve drying results, we recommend turning on the Intensive Drying feature. Efficient and quiet

Excellent Dishwasher!

Loving my new DW!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are 100 percent thrilled with our new dishwasher. It's taken a few weeks to "retrain" ourselves to use the silverware tray - but it is fantastic. I like that spatulas and even shallow custard type cups fit there also. I like the option to use the water softening system with or without rinse aid (we are doing both to see how that works - and it works great!) It is super quiet and the dishes are fantastically clean - even peanut butter and avocado are gone! After 15 years with an equally excellent Thermador pro, our standards were high when we searched for a new one. This DW has exceeded our expectations! Thankful!
