Bogus product

I have been using lg modisc frm beginning of my system. The drive was the same that didn't last for 1 whole year & again I've purchased 1 more LG modisc super multi drive but this is also not working at all. I am embarrassed with the quality of the product. A such a faulty product frm LG is not admissible

Purchased two but only one worked properly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased two, only one worked properly. That one does all the right things quickly and efficiently. I would have returned the bung unit, but I had installed it in my daughters new PC I built for her, and she'd had no need to burn a disc until one day, after the warranty had expired, she needed to burn something and found that the ability to burn disc's didn't work. Luckily DVD burners are cheap to buy, but I won't be getting another LG branded unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and installed it no problems. It plays CDs just fine, however, it doesn't recognize DVDs, which is bad for hardware that is supposed to be DVD RW.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The external LG MoDisc has 2 flaws. The first is that the read rate does not come near to the advertised specs for either RW or commercial DVD disks. The second is an appearent incompatibility issue with software designed to create DVD disks of home videos that are written out to RW disks. They simply cannont be read back by any of several brands of video software without receiving numerous error messages. Most notabley "no header found in sector" on every sector on the disk. Otherwise the drive functions adequately. However, since I do the editing and reproduction of all the family home movies the flaws mentioned make this drive virtually unuseable for the pirmary tasks for which is was purchased.
Pros: Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought to replace a broken door brand only because the box clearly stated Windows 10 os ... but it was not! dvd movies will not play because it doesn't recognize dvd's or the region ...setting are fine as far as can be checked windows 10 drivers are showing a cdrom
