4K is the bomb

I have now have had this Television since it first came out. Netflix is installed now since they sent the update. It works great. I have no disconnect problems like I have seen other people say. I have no problem with Motion Flow (my family looks at a lot of sports) it flows smoothly and no lost of color. I did my own fine tuning for the set up, I made adjustment to the color and stuff. The more I look at the TV the clearer it gets. Picture comes in so clear and when I look at old movies it comes in nice and clear. I have the 4k feature on and that works well. Looked at an action movie and turned on my sound bar and the sound was great. Even when you don't use the sound bar the sound from the TV is not that bad. You Just have to make adjustment to the sound to make it sound better. This is my 2nd XBR television and I love it.

Great Picture

I went to the store with an exact brand/model in my mind. Once I was convinced that a "smart" TV was only as smart as you made it, and it could be as dumb as you needed it, I walked off with an open box model, fresh off the display wall. Everything but the box.

Great picture, terrible operating system

These tvs have one of the best pictures this year. However they integrated Andoid in to the operating system. There are so many glitches, apps failing to produce picture but still playing sound, and not switching inputs correctly.
Its not very user friendly. The Picture settings menu is abysmally laid out. Volume on the tv still adjusts even when set to audio output.
All of this on top of a 30 minute long intial update which you cant do from the intial setup process or it has a chance of bricking the set.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It won't upgrade to 4K unless your source is 1080p. At least that what it says in the setting for 4K.

Not Ready For Primetime

This TV was released too soon and doesn't match the quality of other SONY TVs I've owned (only XBR models). The TV loses its WiFi connection within a day and then doesn't see any WiFi connections unless you reset it and do the initial setup again. When the TV is off and you press the power button, it takes 5 seconds before the TV shows any response and by then you've pressed the button again, and the TV turns back off as soon as it comes on. Entering a WiFi password with 16 characters with mostly upper case letters takes forever since you have to shift each character since the TV doesn't simply toggle upper/lower case like most modern products. The picture quality doesn't look any better than my HD SONYs even streaming 4K content.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

4K Models of SONY are too big for Bedrooms. I am using 40 inch W600 which does not play 4K content. I wish that this model will also have copy, delete, move and recording option on any attached media.
