ice maker doesn't fit

The main reason anyone would buy this refrigerator is that they like the style. I like the style. I have had the fridge for about a month and I find it easy to use and well designed, except - it doesn't come with an icemaker. I ordered the icemaker recommended by GE (Part# IM6D for IM ACCSSRY KIT) and paid for installation. The ice bin does not fit under the icemaker. It is 5 3/8 tall but you only have about 5" clearance under the installed ice maker. You will have to buy a tray less than 5" tall to fit under the icemaker, and you will have to manually turn off and on your ice maker or it will overflow. I would attach a photograph if this site allowed it.

We were looking for a bottom freezer refrigerator with an older style look. They had a range that matched and it was the perfect look we were searching for. Lots of space in the refrigerator with ability to put gallon containers in the door. Runs quietly, also.

Had to replace a decrepit fridge in my new place, and really pleased to find this model. I loved the look, it fit in the smaller space perfectly, and holds more than either the old fridge or the fridge at my old place! I was pleased to purchase something with fun design and good practicality too.

I've had this over a month and I really love it! It has a vintage feel but can still look modern with modern amenities. The only thing is the bottom.freezer basket, wish they mafe it a mode practical and easy slide drawer instead the basket tends to get stuck whhne pulling out sometimes.. besides that I receive compliments about it all the time!

I wasn't sure I was going to like the freezer at the bottom, but there is actually ample space and the pull out basket at the bottom is nice for seeing what you have in the back of the freezer basket. There is a lot of room in the upper portion, the fridge portion as well. The door shelves are very nice and sturdy. The only thing I don't like is that it has three straight shelves, there are no mini shelves so you can rearrange to your liking. HOWEVER there is a third bar in the middle to attach shelves, so I'm sure you can buy some! Great fridge overall. Cools food and looks great!

I bought this 8 months ago. Seems sturdy and solid, and functional. I do have a hard time with things freezing in the fridge from time to time.
