I have two SC-6000 in my home theater and I am very happy with them so far. However I am a numbers guy and I am wondering if someone could tell me where
I can get a complete testing spec. sheet on the SC-6000. I would like to know it's performance at +/- 3 db, how it performed in an anechoic chamber, where are its peaks and knolls on bass sweeps, etc., etc.
Any help would be appreciated in finding out what the true performance of these subs are. I'm sure def tech or a independent lab has surely put these to the standard industry tests and published the numbers, I just cant find them anywhere.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Outstanding performance for the size

This has been a great, feature-packed little subwoofer that I have really enjoyed having in my home theater. I had been looking into online subs by small manufacturers as I had been under the impression that you couldn't beat the bang for your buck you got from a vendor like SVS or Hsu... except that is not true. These companies do not design products that will actually integrate into a living room as well as this Supercube 6000. None of them have the same design pedigree, none of them make a subwoofer with this much performance in this small of an enclosure, and none of them have the awesome remote control.
That is one of my favorite parts of the SC6000. Being able to alter volume levels, EQ curves, phase, and crossover points from your listening position across the room has been far more useful than I thought possible.
Even better than that though, is the sheer musicality of this sub. The small drivers give it a lot of immediacy and accuracy. The Supercube is perfectly transparent and blends flawlessly with my front towers. For music and concert DVDs, it is utterly perfect. If you are primarily a music listener, the SC6000 may very well represent the best bang for your buck available from a brick & mortar retailer.
For home theater, it is still great but physics unfortunately steps in a bit. For most movies, the SC6000 is outstanding. The same accuracy and transparency that works so well for music gives the sub an outstanding, punchy attack that lends serious impact to all kinds of movies. Except, in the end, we are still talking about small drivers here.... for ultra low bass, such as the introduction to Prometheus, certain sections in Oblivion, and the introduction of the latest director's cut of Blade Runner, you will find that the subwoofer starts to emit more mechanical noise from the driver running out of travel than it does it bass.
Please don't believe the rated 14hz low end. This sub is good to maybe the mid, to low, 20s. It is rarely an issue but if all-powerful low end performance is high on your priority list this sub is not going to fit the bill - but you were probably already looking at larger subs anyway.
As you may guess from the past tense wording of this review, this sub has been moved out of my home theater in favor of something much, much larger (and uglier). Where did it end up? It is so good, it is now paired with two ADAM Audio studio monitors in my home studio to serve as a reference subwoofer for audio recording, mixing and mastering. If I wasn't such a bass head when it comes to movies, it would still be attached to my home theater but I believe a hi-fi audio system is an even better fit for the SC6000.

I really looked hard to find a good looking sub that was not a monster. I was a little skeptical on how well this sub would do. I could not be happier. It is a bit overrated in how low it can go. I measure it as going down to 25hz. I had hoped when I added a 2nd it might lower it a little bit further but it did not. But to my ears, my chest and every nick nack and walling in the house these subs feel HUGE.

SuperCube 6000 times Two

I was looking for a Subwoofer that was relatively small, with great performance but they also had to be good looking. The SuperCube 6000 exceeded my expectations in every regard. I actually have two in my system, both on the right and left hand speaker displays. I never play them above the (20) setting and often find myself turning them down, with the handy dandy remote. If you want to know how your Subs are performing try a listen to 'Daft Punk's' recording of "Disc Wars" (especially on vinyl). With the extremely clean and elegant look of the all black finish, along with the slightly subdued presence of the red power level setting (which you can turn off.... but never will) these Subs have everything going for them. So if you are looking for great performance in a relatively small package you can't do any better.

I bought this sub about a month ago so now <BR>I'm ready to submit my review. I have to say that this sub is awsome.I have it hooked up with bt 2006 tls.clr 2300 and nht 1.5 for rear.I'm using marantz thx ultra 2 5 chanel power amp.the bass this sub puts out is unbeleveable very clean and crisp on movies and music. I like being able to adjust the output from my seat with the remote control. I would recomend this sub to anyone that is looking for good clean bass reproduction.Worth every penny you have to pay!!!! Way to go Def. Tech. you hit a grand slam with this sub.
