What's great about it: not a lot
What's not so great: noise cancelling is poor
I think the whole noise cancelling thing is non-existence....I can still hear other noises while wearing the head phones.
I don't know squat about the term noise-cancelling, but for 150 dollars, you would think i would be happy, but I'm not. I can hear other people talking plain a day. I can hear myself tapping the desk, i can hear other people's cell phones. I cheap pair of 7 dollar ear buds could do the same thing.
Sound quality was better, but not happy with external noises not being dampened out.

For the price they are great. If I could of afforded the beats by Dr. Dre I would of gotten them but for 400.00 I just couldn't bring myself to buy them. But these that I did get are pretty good.

What's great about it: comfort fit
What's not so great: sound isolation
I bought this so that my Wife could play the keyboard at the church and since she is positioned nest to the drummer she need a headphone with good noise isolation and able to use as monitor, worked great as a monitor but the drums could not be isolated, so I had to take them back and get a different set of headphones at a band instrument store.

What's great about it: Sounds Great, Great Price, Good Noise Cancelling
What's not so great: Uncomfortable for extended use, Designed to bend (and break?) at purely plastic part.
After a month of use, I had intended to write a pretty positive review of these headphones... Until this afternoon when they broke on each side of the plastic spine just above the earpieces (same place others have described). Other headphones in the same price range seem to bend at a metal part of the headphone, while these bend on this plastic part. The customer service guy took one look at them and immediately offered a replacement. Prior to the break, I also noticed the fit was somewhat uncomfortable for long periods (7.5 in hat), and they do creak as others have noted. On the positive side, they sound great and the noise cancelling works as advertised. I sometimes used them in a room with a window unit AC 5 feet from my head and the noise cancelling turned it from a loud roar to a soft hum . Overall, I am sorry the design of these headphones didnt work out for me. I was quite impressed with them in the store and the price was fantastic.

What's great about it: Price, comfort, noise reduction
What's not so great: Durability, sound
Bought these before a flight. I was doing an in-store comparison between these, the Bose and Beats. The Rocketfish were significantly less expensive and seemed to have more features than the Bose. The salesperson told me that they also were Blue Tooth capable (they are not).
I gave them a real-world test on the plane. They did an fair job of reducing the ambient plan noise, and they were comfortable.
The sound quality was good buy not great. The product didn't seem to be durable (the demo pair in the store were broken), so I was concerned about long-term usage and durability during travel.
They work, and if the Bose are out of your price range, these make a good substitute, but I ended up returning my purchase for Bose QC15s.

What's not so great: cheap plastic head phone
Had these head phones about 3 days before leaf earpiece broke-off. same problems as described by others, un-comfortable after 1 hour, creaking noise when you turn your head. If you buy them get the warranty, otherwise it is money down the drain. Tried to return broken head phones, did not have receipt, and was told to pound sand. Looks like I will be shopping else where for electronics

What's great about it: Performs as well (99% noise reduction) as headphones costing $180 more!
What's not so great: They're a little heavier than the expensive ones and although the fit is good - it's not 'excellent'.
These headphones were about half of the price of the comprable BOSE headphones. I tried the BOSE headphones on and was blown away, light as a feather, fit like a glove, etc... but a price of $299. These also reduce 99%of ambient noise, are comfortable - although heavier than the BOSE - but they reduce noise to the same level.. all for $119 saving about $180. I'd rather own the BOSE, but I really preferred to keep the $180 in my wallet! LOVE these headphones. They drown out my treadmill sound, my plodding feet and the sounds of my thighs slapping together very well. Good clear music!

What's great about it: Comes with a nice case
What's not so great: Everything
Had these for about 2 days before I returned them. The noise “cancellation” hissed and popped. The left earpiece creaked loudly every time I moved my head. On top of all that, they were extremely uncomfortable. I could only wear them for 5-10 minutes before I started to get a headache. They were way too tight and my ears were pushed up against the speaker. When you look inside, you can see that the speaker is raised and only has about a half an inch for your ear to fit. To be honest, I liked the case more than the headphones.

What's great about it: Decent noise canceling and sound quality
What's not so great: Poor durability
The Rocketfish headphones are presented as a good value for all the features: noise canceling, over-ear, padded, etc. The noise canceling is passable and I found it convenient at times. The padding does make the headphones comfortable enough to wear for about an hour or two at a time; I don't think I could wear them comfortably all day. The main issue I have with these headphones is the durability. I purchased a pair in which the plastic that adjusts the length broke after a week of use. I exchanged them for another pair that broke within two days. I returned the second pair for a refund. I was gentle with the first pair and even more careful with the second The quality of the plastic was poor and was unable to stand up to simply putting them on and taking them off. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with these headphones and I would not recommend these to anyone who wants them to last for more than a few days.

What's great about it: Price and pretty comfortable
What's not so great: Doesn't seem to cancel noise (at all)
I totally agree with the previous post. I put on the headphones when I got to work and when I flipped the switch (for ambient sound), I heard a statiky-type sound/hissing.
I turned it to "off" and there wasn't much difference. It was almost like the headphones amplified the talking that was going on at my job. I'm bummed out, but I will give them one more try at work tomorrow and see if giving them a full charge makes them work better.

What's great about it: Not much. Cool name, maybe
What's not so great: Construction. Bold claim of noise canceling capabilities.
To say these are noise canceling headphones is a real stretch and compliment. It's more like a boost in volume, like hitting the loudness button or a Dolby noise reduction. The real problem was the creaking noise generated whenever I moved my head, like someone was crumbling paper by my ear. REturned them in a week and got a pair of Bose AE2 and am thrilled by my purchase- more comfortable and better sound, for $30 more. It's worth it folks.

What's great about it: Doesn't Carry A $300 Price Tag
What's not so great: Left and Right Side Not Marked
I purchased these headphones to use on longer jet aircraft flights. My first flight was from JFK to Tel Aviv (11 hrs). The headphones worked fine. They were comfortable and fit over my ears. They cancelled out the jet engine noise pretty well. If there was some other noise (call button, etc) that was not background noise like the engines, you could hear that. I listened to music and to movies on my iPod Touch. They come with a nice hard carrying case that fits into a carryon. The case comes with a carabiner clip to hook to a backpack, etc. They have adaptors to fit different airline seats. It comes with a USB charging cord that will fit a laptop or an A/C unit with a USB connection (like the one I have for my iPhone). The phones' charge lasted the whole flight with no problem.

What's great about it: sound quality
What's not so great: durability
These headphones have a great sound and would definitely be worth the money except for one thing, the plastic in the headband is weak. I bought a pair and took normal care of the set. One end of the end band broke off within 5 days. If it should happen to you just beware that Best Buy will not back up this product. I was not able to get an exchange.
In short, the headset gets a good sound, is comfortable to wear and would be worth the money, but not for just 5 days of use.
