It has a sleek and compact design. It is easy to assemble and use. The only thing I can find at fault with the machine/carbonator is that it takes more than 3 pumps to get the liter bottles carbonated. They say it takes an average of three pumps to carbonate a liter bottle, but it so far it has taken me at least four pumps to carbonate a single bottle. Other than this small issue, there's no problem with it.

The Best Thing I have bought in years!!

I bought this about 3 years ago, thinking I might use it once or twice. Boy, was I wrong!! I keep it on my kitchen counter, especially during the holidays. With Friends, parties, and grandkids in and out I always have the beverage everybody wants, and I don't have to lug bottles and cans!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my sodastream! Great gifts for family and friends!

No sodium soda is GREAT!!!

I gave the Genesis to my husband for his birthday last year. He LOVES it! It's the only kitchen item that he has learned to use. He loves soda and can drink all he wants without the sodium. It's fantastic! It's so great, other family members have bought one.

I have had my Sodastream since the beginning of 2012, so for over three years and it is still going strong! The cats have knocked it off the counter a few times and I thought it broke, but just the top came off and it all went back together fine! I don't drink soda but my husband and I are obsessed with drinking fizzy water. We get very disappointed when our CO2 cartridge runs out and we have to drink plain old flat water. The one mix I have used is the margarita mix, and while originally I thought the idea of a fizzy margarita was just plain crazy, now I think it's better than a regular marg!

Ever since my father got one a few years back, I have wanted one of my own but they are a bit pricey for my budget. Thankfully he gave me one for Christmas this year! I love it. I like that the bottles are only 1 liter and not the 2-3 liter bottles most sodas come in in our stores or the more pricey (because of $.05 bottle deposits on cans) cans. 1-liter lets our family pick new flavors without winding up with stale flat soda sitting in the fridge. I love the real sugar fruit flavors and the Stevia sweetened diet flavors. I'm not a cola fan and the pink grapefruit is the current favorite. Only one change I would like to see: some sort of temporary labeling system like peal off labels so we can tell the flavors apart when the colors are very similar. Like Lemon-lime soda from orange MyWater. Or maybe a white board like area on the bottles to write the flavor name on and later wash it off

Great Christmas GIft

First of all, this is an AWESOME product!
However, I agree with both of the other reviewers that it is a little costly AND it makes a great Christmas gift. I wanted this because I love carbonated/sparkling water, but I didn't want to pay the money for it, so I asked my husband to get it for me for Christmas year before last. He had no idea what to get me and I'd rather spend my money on another pair fo shoes (smile)....so a WIN-WIN for me...and HIM!

I can't stand store bought soda but love my fizzy drinks.When I got this for my birthday I couldn't wait to get it home and try it out. After watching 4-5 youtube videos on it I decided to give it a shot and I was not disappointed. Now I just need to see which flavors I prefer and make sure AI have plenty on hand. This will be a money saver when the weather gets warmer....Great gift. Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

I took advantage of a holiday promotion - making this one of the best investments for my health this year. Plain carbonated water pairs great with fruit juices, or lemon/cucumber/mint flavor infusion. This is a terrific way to cut down on sugar and chemicals. Take control of your thirst destiny... It's easy to add the carbonation to the water and the machine stores easily on the kitchen counter in a corner. Do it. You'll be happy you did. Here's a toast to your good health.
