DO NOT BUY!! PUMP FAILURES

This is a defective model with known pump failure issues. LG tried to correct by inserting a new type of filter, but that effort also failed. Buyer beware.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

With the three racks, this dishwasher will handle an amazing amount of dishes. The dual steam system makes it very versatile as does the half load option. After my first use I experienced a problem and got amazing support from Customer Service. It's not a big deal but my only complaint would be that dishes don't get completely dry; however, completely clean is more important.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

The 3rd rack for cutlery is the highlight for me. Love not having to handle the eating area of forks and spoons when emptying dishwasher. Also like adjustable racks, especially the height adjustment. Knew the cycle would be long, but since we only wash dishes once a day and it is so quiet, time is not a problem.

Really cleans dishes

After about a year of using a dishwasher that barely functioned, we broke down and bought a new dishwasher. We did weeks of research before purchasing the LG. I love the top drawer, steam option, and extra rinse option (we have hard water). I also love how very quiet this dishwasher is.
As for the negatives, the dishes do not seem to get very dry. Even with the extra dry cycle. I also seem to have problems getting my dishes to stand straight and not fall over - even with the adjustable prongs. But, they are getting clean. We even did a few test dishes that were very dirty and not rinsed. They all have come out clean.

It's a beautiful dishwasher. Everything comes clean. The third rack on top is a godsent. I put the spoons and forks there and eliminated 2 of the silverware baskets just leaving one for the knives. It frees up space for additional dishes.
The space above the bottom rack is huge and now you don't have to worry about putting something in that is too tall.

I bought this product because it have the 3rd shelf which we use for small utensils and flatware . The steam dry feature and racks flexibility is very useful too. Control panel is self explained and simple, unfortunately timer on panel useless, because you can't see it when door is closed. Quietness of this product is unbelievable.

Great Modern Dishwasher

Came across this dishwasher on accident, but liked it immediately. First of all, the styling is great. The handle does not protrude out too much like other brands, so I can open the cutlery drawer without hitting the dishwasher. Very minimalist features on panel. Top cutlery rack was previously only found in one other manufacture. LED lights brighten up the interior to see better. I was sold. Installation was straight forward and simple. Made a high pitch grunting sound when first started up, but have not heard it since. Quiet and cleans very well, I especially like the steam function. Wife loves the top cutlery rack. Appears very well made.

Steam cleaning is the best!

My husband and I love the look, the silence and how shiny clean our dishes our. We have had no problems with the prongs that hold up the dishes ,as others have said. The dish washer does all it says and we both recommend this LG dishwasher. love the steam cleaning!
