The classic go to phone

I have had nothing but great dependable performance from this phone. Today it is still a top of the line phone. I like the size, easy to use one handed, fits easily in a pants pocket and very smooth operation. I love my N5.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

DURABILITY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Nexus 5 about 3 years ago and it has been excellent, however, it does not take kindly to going through a complete cycle in a washing machine. I dried it out and it worked great except the battery would only hold a charge, even when shut off, for just a few hours. We bought a new phone, not a Nexus. I read an article about people complaining about their cell phone breaking easily. As ours was no longer readily usable, I hit it five times with a hammer. Nothing broke. I charged it and tried it, it worked perfectly except for the battery failure. Thanks for a great piece of equipment (just not suited to a washing machine).
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

This device has a great in-hand feeling, looks nice, runs (in my opinion) the best version of Android, and is currently the best value you can get on any phone! Just a few problems that could be fixed in future software updates from Google.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

This is what a smartphone should be like!

I’ve had my Nexus 5 for two months now, and I’m really happy with it. It’s big, but still fits comfortably in my hands, and the display is good enough that I’ve watched full-length movies on it.
If I were buying the phone again I think I’d spend a drop more and get the 32GB version—actually, my one gripe is that memory is not expandable. But I’ve got apps and games and music loaded and I haven’t yet run into memory limits.
I have not yet taken my phone overseas, but I did pick it out knowing I have the option of swapping out the SIM card.
It’s a good phone, with very few drawbacks.
Pros: Performance, Features/Settings

Drops the network constantly

Let me start by saying that I live in a rural area. I've had t-mobile for years and the reception in my area is great on every phone we have on t-mobile with the exception of my new Nexus 5. I thought the problem might lay with a faulty antenna so I sent my first one back and had it replaced with a new unit. The replacement Nexus 5 does the exact same thing. It doesn't matter if you set it to LTE, 3 G or 2 G. its a pain to select your network operator 10+ times a day depending on the calls you have to make. Would not recommend it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
