Great images, easy to use, well constructed. I prefer to use a lens hood to eliminate stray light.
Pros: Fast auto-focus, Superior build quality, Super-sharp images
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great air shots

I used this lens with my new camera at the Sun N Fun air show in Lakeland FL in April of 2012. I found it easy for my spouse and I to use. We were taking shots of fast moving FA18 as well as older bi-planes. The lens did very well with night shots of the air show.
Pros: Superior build quality
Cons: Slow auto-focus, Semi-sharp images
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great lens for occasional use on a crop sensor EOS camera. It is easy to use, not bulky, and has good build quality for the price.
Pros: Superior build quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not the Quality picture i was looking for.

After using this lense for a week i returned it to my local camera store. The price was great the quality of the lense was good but i wasn't blown away with the image quality. I realize this is not a professional series lense but i expected a little bit better. When i opened the pictures up on my 27 inch computer screen they were grainy and a little fuzzy. I tried numerours scenarios, outdoor, indoor low light daylight high and low iso and none of them were superb. I have decided to start saving for the professioanl series telephoto because none of the lenses in this class met my needs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's ok...

This lens is ok. It produces really sharp images and the auto-focus is average speed. What I don't like is, it is really cheaply made. When I got it, some of the metal around the lens was chipped, the plastic was faded, etc. If you are looking for a lens that performs well that is well priced, then I would get this lens. If you are willing to spend more, don't get it.
Pros: Fast auto-focus, Super-sharp images
Cons: Poor build quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not my favorite.

I got this lens with my Rebel XS kit. I have only used it twice, due to my extreme dislike of it. When zoomed in, anything that's white gets a blue ora around it. Not something I would recommend to a friend.
Cons: Semi-sharp images, Slow auto-focus, noise, blue effect when zoomed in
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor performer at best.

Out of the box, my focus ring sticks before getting to infinity when on autofocus.
It canl not take a distant object in focus while set over 200mm on any setting. In over 100 attempts ZERO pictures are in focus. Even on landscape mode or manual with focus set on infinity and the Fstop raised to f16 are still blurry at 200mm - 300mm.
This lens is simply no good.
Cons: Slow auto-focus, Semi-sharp images
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
