We just purchase this and was really easy to use and setup! The app is very user friendly, we got it up and running within record time!

I bought this when it first came out. It was a little slow to react at first so you had to stand there waiting for it to communicate with the phone. An update seems to have sped it up a bit but it would be nice if it was even quicker; I could unlock it with a key just a fast or maybe faster but it would be less convenient to do so. Also, if I am wearing basketball shorts or other pants with deep pockets my phone sits low and won't communicate well with the the lock and I sometimes need to lift the phone up in my pocket or out of my pockets. My wife sometimes has to lean or twist a certain way to get her phone in her purse in a position to communicate with the lock as well. All that said, it does work well the majority of the time, is very convenient to not have to carry a key, and has a definite cool/geek factor that makes it fun to use. It is also a conversation piece any time a guest comes up to the door with you. If they can put out a software update to make it even faster and more sensitive, it will earn a 5th star in the review and I will then recommend it to anyone who asks about it. For now, it is pretty convenient and fun but the inconsistency in performance keeps it from being stellar. If I had to estimate, I'd say it works as expected about 60-70% of the time without having to touch it a second time to get it to lock/unlock. And yes, I have calibrated it more than once to see if that would have an effect.

Nice idea but not great

I loved the idea of being able to unlock the door without keys and when it works, it is great! Concerns I have had; it is too slow to lock or unlock, sometimes I have to repeat to get it to work and if I accidentally brush up against it, it will lock on it's own. These are design problems that had I known about, might have waited until they were corrected.

I got this as soon as it came on the market, at first it was very good with my iphone 5, it worked very well with my iphone 5, but then I upgraded to iphone 6, is still works but seems to be more delay with the iphone 6 until the new firmware update. So far I'm used to the few second respond already, great product! The lock is very sensitive, just a bump will activate the lock, even with a layer of clothing, so be careful.

Work great until we replaced the batteries

We loved it when it was installed, it was so conveniant to be able to touch the lock and the door was unlocked. Then the batteries needed replaced and now we are only able to use it once a day. We lock the door with our phone, and we are unable to unlock it the same way so we have to use the key. Overall it's a great idea but hasn't work out the way we were expecting or it was demonstrated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Idea

These units have been installed for over a year now and have worked well...
Except: Needs range (or single strength) improvement. Example - if phone is inside a purse or bag. It will take longer to operate the lock!
Security: 10 Single strength: 5 Ease of use: 9 Battery usage: 9 Style: 9 Ease of installation: 7 (with no previous experience), 9 (with previous lock experience)
A great improvement would allow the Bluetooth to connect to a wifi hub!!!

Great addition to your home security!

Have had the lock since it was released, and overall have been very pleased. The finish and build is excellent. At times we do have issues with it not responding to touch and have to restart the app on our phone. This has improved with updates. Have and will continue to recommend this lock to friends and family. Would love to have it linked to wireless network or my alarm panel to allow for me to open the door from my office.

No more fumbling for keys

Used with IPhone, being able to use EKeys to allow others access without loaning keys. Only problem I have is sometimes you have to touch it more than once to lock or unlock. Still a great product!
