Don't want to go back to keys.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this for over a year and we love it. My only complaint is that is sometimes slow to open. Many times you have to touch it twice. Ideally it should open within a second after you touch it. Maybe it'll get there one day. For now it is still so much easier than using keys. Thank you Kwikset!

Makes Perfect Sense

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lots of other smart locks out there but who the heck wants to open an app and hit a button to unlock the door. Kevo is a simple bluetooth handshake in which you do not even have to remove your phone from your pocket. I have not bought two and love them both.

Great to begin with, always getting better

We love that it is so easy to gent someone access, and see the logs. The only thing I'm missing is the new 'plus' piece which seems to have been back logged forever.

Pretty awesome

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this january of Feb 2014. There is limited phone support do to security of devices but the fobs work well. They don't take a beating though being on my Keychain for 3 months it stopped working. There is also a new kevo plus device I am excited about that is speculated to fill the gap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very excited to use this lock in order to share e-keys with in-laws, friends etc. While that feature is great, what I now love most is that I'm able to leave the house and lock/unlock the door with just my phone. The freedom of not having to carry keys is great. The lock works with no issues and the batteries last a long time. I'm not a super handy guy and it was very easy to install with no issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Could be better

I bought this lock with great anticipation. Never having to carry my keys, just touching the lock to open, giving keys to guests, it just goes on. But then the reality set in. Often the lock will not open. Multiple attempts and nothing. Take phone out of pocket, hold closer....still nothing. Of course, it eventually works, but frustration is not what I purchased--or so I thought. Now there is a next generation--update the software again and make it always work, but please don't try to sell me what I thought I was getting with the first.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waste of Money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this lock for over a year and it just drives us crazy. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you stand there, with your arms full, and it tries and tries but doesn't unlock. I downloaded the app for Android, and I can't get it to work with the lock - I keep getting an error message. Huge Disapointment.

Good First gen lock but missing features....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lock 2 years ago with the company telling me homekit integration and Remote lock/unlock was coming quickly. With intermittent connectivity problems and poor to no access to the Remote unlock bridge, no homekit functionality I wouldn't choose this lock again.
I recognize that this was a first gen, but I feel the company promised the stars to get me too but and have not wanted or been able to deliver on them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
