Kevo... 1st Generation BAD... 2nd Generation GREAT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stay away from the 1st generation Kevo, the touch feature is inconsistent and unreliable, sometimes it worked but mostly it did not. After the third lock they sent me a 2nd generation which has been flawless and has never failed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn't work half the time with your smartphone as your ekey. Most of the time you have to close the app and reopen the open the app to operate your lock. Sometimes you actually have to log out of your account and log back in to get it to work. The time you spent you could have just used key to manually unlock the door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nothing but trouble

I bought a Kevo lock and it did not work, so after a few calls to troubleshoot, I brought it back to the store and exchanged for another one. After numerous calls to Kevo it appeared to work, though inconsistently. After a few days, the touch quit responding and then the fob quit working. Finally I returned it and got a refund. I ended up purchasing a different kind of lock. The idea of a kevo lock was appealing but unfortunately in the end it was more trouble than anything.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Convenience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the Kēvo 1 st generation about 9 months ago and had some problems with it loosing connection with our iPhones. I would reset them and things would go fine for a while until it wouldn’t work at all. I finally decided to call customer support and the person was very helpful and did his best to guide me through the steps of reprogramming. I did what he said, but the next day it still lost connection. I emailed with the support ticket that was created, and I was told I would be sent a new lock. I received the second generation Kevo, and after a little problem with getting it to accept a Key by email, it works wonderfully and is very responsive. I really appreciate the company honoring their warranty. Love this new lock!
