I was excited when the Kevo was delivered to my door. But was very disappointed to how bad it works. I bought it so I wouldn't have to use my key but all I got was a very expensive lock that doesn't work as described. I have to use my key almost 90 percent of the time. I only use my key now because its a waste of time trying to lock and unlock my door with a touch. its faster with a key. I made a big mistake!

Have had it for 3yrs now & it's been a love/hate relationship & now since they starting doing all the updates on it & these last updates really screwed ours up. It doesn't want to lock or it unlocks on its own w/o my phone even being by it. Just about ready to trash it. Just really frustrating sucks!! At this point definetly would not recommend to anyone.

I stepped out to get the mail and Kevo locked me out of the house....Twice with the keys inside!

The fob works about 10% of the time, the phone works but very slow. Plus when I go out the door before I can close the door it is already placing in locked mode. very frustrating. Not sure I would purchase another one.

Disappointing.

Purchased this lock for convenience and b/c it's a cool tech kinda thing. Main purpose was for when we are out walking the pets & don't want to bring a set of keys. We always have our phones with us, so thought it would be perfect.
Far from it. The app is always shutting down. Sometimes takes up to a minute for the door to connect and unlock (even when connected to the house wifi). We also purchased a booster and plugged it in right behind the door. That doesn't help either. Sometimes it doesn't work, I'll get my keys out to manually unlock & by the time I go to shut the door, the Kēvo magically starts working & locks the door even before it gets shut.
Very disappointed. Wish we would have just purchased one with the keypad.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] got it about 3 years ago, works good but sometimes i have to wait for a while before the app can activate to open or lock. anyways, looking forward to have this to support Google Home.....

Irratic operation

I have had this more than a year - I constantly have to reprogram my wife's iPhone and then go back and reprogram mine as it becomes disabled. I would say the lock only opens 5 out of 10 times I try to use it, and at times the lock will open or close randomly even though I am no where near it. My wife has given up and only uses a key - I continue to try using it although I am reaching a point of total frustration. Its a great idea - if it would work!

Thought I liked it until it locked me out

My husband's phone died. When it came back online, he needed his kevo password to relaunch the app. I couldn't remember it. He couldn't remember it and he was locked out. No after-hours service at Kevo or password retrieval on the app. You've got to be kidding?!
