Not ready for market

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Is so glitchy. Installed over a year ago. had to finally pull batteries and use as a simple deadbolt. For no reason it would sometimes lock when opening door, or simply walking by w/ phone in pocket. Dismantled and checked for pinched wires about 4 times. downloaded and installed all updates. Great idea, poor execution by Kwikset
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lock of the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Kevo about 2 years ago when moving into my new home and can't think of how we lived without it. The greatest feature is allowing me to send guest keys or scheduled keys. The addition of remote lock/unlock when in bluetooth range is great but really wish I could do it remotely WITHOUT having to buy an additional device.
You should also really consider creating an IFTTT channel so that you can integrate with more services as well, I'm satisfied with the Nest integration for now, which actually lets me just trigger stuff for when I put my Nest on away (which is done from the Kevo app).

Very Convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having child #3 last year, we had to upgrade one of our vehicles to a van. The van had a convenient feature that once you were close enough, you could just pull the handle and the doors would unlock, no need to push a remote button or insert a key. With our hands usually full of baby stuff, I thought it would be convenient if our house door could behave the same way. That's when I discovered this Kevo Bluetooth lock.
I found the installation to be straightforward. One of my only minor negatives for the product is the size of lock on the indoors side. I actually needed to shave a little of the plastic window border since my door has sliding window on the top half and the lock unit didn't quite fit based on the existing deadbolt's hole location. Hopefully future models will be able to use less space.
For me it has worked as expected 95% of the time. If my door isn't fully latched shut, the lock will sometimes jam, but I don't consider that a fault of the Kevo, I just need to try and adjust the door to better match the latches in the frame.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works flawlessly, I feel secure and don't have to look for keys with groceries in my hand. Simply one tap and im in. Also the cool blue led lights are a hit every one comments about it, so easy to send guests a key! Thanks Kevo, into the new age!

Great concept, doesn't work properly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Kevo dead bolt in March 2014. I loved the lock, at first. Then it stopped working properly. It would take many touches of the lock to operate. Then the lights around the dead bolt went out. I resorted to using my key because the Bluetooth operation sometimes worked and sometimes didn't work. The really annoying part was when I would stick my key in the lock and unlock the door, after trying the Bluetooth unlock function multiple times without success, and then when I step into the house and close the door, the Bluetooth function would then work, locking the deadbolt, and the deadbolt would slam into the frame of my door and bounce back. Talk about frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this lock when it first came out. The software updates have helped improve the responsiveness of the lock. One issue that I noticed is that the lock can get activated by individuals that don't have the software or FOB, I assume this is due to the proximity of my cell, but it shouldn't be the case. The lock seems to miss read the location of the device (inside/outside).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The lock has a mind of its own. It locks and unlocks even when the phone is turned off. Even after contacting customer service who just tell you to reset it. I have the 1st generation model, they may have improved on newer locks.
