Poor Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WE have owned the Kevo for over a year now. My wife and I both have android phones so we are using the key fobs. For the most part we use the lock as a deadbolt with the house key as the fobs are very unreliable. We are constantly changing batteries but they don't seem to last very long. We are very disappointed so far escpecially for the cost of the unit. Could have bought a regular deadbolt much cheaper.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first lock stopped working after about 3 months. Support was very good and replaced it, but said that would be the only replacement. The replacement also stopped working after about 2 months. I would love for this to work and had high hopes for it, but it seems the quality of the electronics is very poor. I still have it installed and use it as a standard lock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We decided to install this in our office. We have over 40 employee's who come and go all the time. This is way better than any key system. We can set 24 hour passes, times when employees have access to office and when employee's decide to change jobs and no longer need access. It was very easy to install. The help desk was amazing when I needed more than 4 keys. I even put this in my own home.

Nice not have to fumble for a key in cold weather

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bluetooth lock is very reliable with my iPhone, but not so much with my wife's fob. Her fob fails often enough that I sometimes just wait and watch to see if the Bluetooth lock is going to open for her. On several occasions, I have "opened and closed" her fob's plastic cover to keep the electronics working. Nothing else was done to it.
To be fair to Kwikset, they replaced her fob once under warranty without charge.

Absolute junk- has a mind of its own

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this almost a year now. It's absolute junk. I've calibrated it several times but it really has a mind of it's own. It will lock/unlock when you go through, regardless of if your phone is on/near you. The molding around the door is basically trash now because the deadbolt opens on its own while my hands are full and then slams into the molding. This lock goes to the garage or I would have replaced it a LONG time ago. Now I'm just hoping the battery dies soon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a year and a half. They've replaced it once under warranty, and it's still terrible.
It's unreliable, cranky and just doesn't work well. It often glows pink when you touch it, which indicates no device that can unlock it is in range. That would be fine except the phone that can unlock it is in my hand or pocket less than 3 feet away. Or it will mysteriously glow blue (which indicates it's about to open) and then stop. And not open. For no apparent reason.
DO NOT BUY THESE DEVICES. They're ridiculously expensive and are massively unreliable.

I like this technology, but the fobs not working as well. iPhone and Android app work great !
