[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some days you have to put your phone up close and wave it around it to work, other days you're just passing by the door and it un/locks on its own. I wish I can disable the light too, it's so noticeable at night and it's like advertising we have Kevo for our lock to the whole neighborhood. Apparently this lock is easy to break according to Youtube :(

Awesome Product, great for families

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hated making keys for everyone,then find out someone lost it, or their ex-boyfriend still has them. Solution --- Kevo !!!!
With Kevo and the network adapter I have more control over who accesses my home and when. I also can tell when my daughter left for school and when got home. Each digital key tells you who used it. I also like the fact that keys are no longer required. They key is your phone.
Most people don't lose thier phones... And if they do, just cancel that digital key and give them another one. No more worries about key copying here.
Tech support is amazing. I had them call me back one night and stayed on the phone while troubleshooting step by step. This was a couple years ago but I'll never forget that awesome expirence.
Did I say years ago? That's right I did. Wow!!! I have had that lock now that long? No problems with it since they fixed it while still in beta launch.
If you still use old fashion key locks what are waiting for? Metal house keys are like so 90's....

Less convenient that using real keys

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of these and if I could return them I would. The first big problem is the range is terrible. If you have a step up to your door and keep your phone in your pocket, the lock most likely won't be able to communicate with your phone. You'll have to take it out of your pocket, hold it near the lock and tap again. The second problem is that the Kevo app on iPhones will randomly just decide to close itself in the background. So you're sitting there with groceries in hand, tapping away at the lock, only to realize that you have to put everything down, dig out the phone, re-open the app, and THEN tap the lock. Great concept, but horrible execution.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Change my way of life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kevo changed my routine. I no longer locked out of the house , no longer have to rush out to open the house when my wife forgets the key , much less need to leave the keys with the neighbors when I travel. Excellent solution .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had the lock for a year now. Still one my favorite editions to my house. The only downside to it, I felt, was the lack of being able to remotely control it anywhere. The new upgrade, which I quickly ordered, works amazingly. Have yet to have any issues with it. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Great solution for automation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really enjoy this lock. As homeowners we have guests that stay with us frequently. This lock allows us to easily give access to our home, and gather data from each individual key. The system is easy to use and the companion app is fairly fluid. My only complaint is the payment for extra keys.

Problematic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This lock has problems. First, we had to replace the original lock as the installer pinched the internal Bluetooth communication wire so it wouldn't work at all. But Kwikset very good as they sent us a new one at no cost. Second, we live in a cold weather location and the lock sometimes does not work at very low temperatures (does not always recognize the finger touch below -10C). Third, two out of three fobs we have sometimes have to be re-programmed as they stop communicating even though new batteries were installed. Mechanically, the lock is fine but we don't recommend purchasing this lock until the reliability problems are worked out - it's not worth the additional headaches and extra expense.
