Great idea, but poor execution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I asked for this as a gift and when I received it, I was excited to install it. The directions were clear and I was able to use the existing holes in my door. The setup was clear and I had the lock working quickly. But then, that's when the troubles began. I left my phone and key fob inside and as I left I must have brushed up against the lock and it locked me outside. Since my device was inside it would not unlock the door. Then the KĒVO software on my iPhone was upgraded. I used to have my Kevo app closed to operate my door, now it HAS to be launched on my iPhone to work. As a result, my iPhone battery life is diminished. The app for me was working fine, why was such a change made? So until these bugs get worked out, and the product is really close, I would hold off on recommending this lock at this time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my KEVO locks but it would have been awesome to know that you could not purchase the KEVO hub in Australia at time of purchase. Im a home Automation Integrator and see big possibilities for this in Australia.

The best smart lock I have used

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kevo is the best smart lock I have used compare to August and owther compititor. Kevo plus works well either. The only problem is the reliability still has space to improve, I am waiting for the Kevo 2 Gen to be release in Canadian market and will purchase it once ie avaialble to see the effort Kevo team has done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been a almost year since I had 925 Kevo installed. I love it! My car has touch lock so I thought why not have a keyless entry for my house too! Now , every once in a while Kevo does not work , like I have to touch the Kevo lock several times or pull out my Key Fobs to Re activate to open the door. So far, I love it and hope it will Last !!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Erratic

Never sure when the lock won't respond to my phone despite a good wifi and Bluetooth. This sometimes results in expletives when you are carrying groceries and have to set them down to use a key. Fob no longer pairs with lock. Tried to reconnect with web instructions once, failed, and just haven't bothered to try again. Wouldn't purchase again until reliability issues resolved. I'd invest in a higher end entry set instead. I just got a new phone so we'll see if that helps!

Does Not Work as Advertised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this lock one year ago and it worked with my iPhone pretty well for 6 months. Then Apple upgraded the IOS and it got very quirky. Technical support was always patient and very curious and understanding, but it just stopped working. They sent me a rebuilt lock and it didn't work either. They sent me a new lock, and remember I am doing the installations each time and as this was in November / December and temps were dropping. It just doesn't work with my iPhone 6 and so I use the fob. The fob works most of the time, but I often need to use the key. Not what I thought.

Bluetooth isn't very responsive

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an OK unit. The Bluetooth isn't very responsive sometimes have to be right on top of the deadbolt for to work. It doesn't have very good range in the house to unlock it with the phone although that is a nice feature. I'm just not very impressed with the amount of money spent. The installation was very simple and straightforward as well as syncing with your phone.

Very Convenient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this product for many years now. I love it! I don't have to worry about getting my keys out when my hands are full. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because of the key fob. I've had a lot of problems with it. Luckily however, I am able to use my android phone now.
