unlocking Kevo with Alexa

Great but extremely temperamental

I have 2 and have been using this lock for close to a year now and love it. The idea is great and had been considering upgrading to the second gen, but over the last couple of months my partner and myself have been having a lot of problems with it not wanting to lock/unlock. I was also wanting to know if Kēvo plus will be available in Australia?

The key fob does not always work. We already had it replaced. It is very frustrating when you can't open the door. The phone app works better but make sure the batteries are good or you cannot open the door.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Takes too long to open and multiple tries

I have my iOS app up to date every time they say there is an improvement on the unlocking time. I don't see any improvement. The lock takes forever to connect to the app and open and it never does it on the first try. It takes several taps for this to happen and usually have to unlock the phone first which beats the purpose. I could have open my door with my key in 1/3 of the time it takes with the app

A nice addition...overall I like my Kevo lock; however, I agree with many of these other comments...even after recalibrating my phone, the lock is hit or miss when I touch it. And it can be quite slow. I have a fob, but when the original battery died and I replaced it, the fob ceased working. I know I need to get another as I found the fob more reliable. Would like to see Kevo be compatible with ecobee3 thermostats. Keep at it Kevo.

Doesn't always work properly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked great at first. Now I have to open ap on my iPhone occasionally to get it to unlock. Seems to be taking longer and longer to lock and unlock. Have recalibrated to no avail.
