This is a very good refrigerator that I recommend.

There are a lot of positives about this refrigerator and only a few negatives.
The positives are as follows:
1) There is a lot of room in both the top part (non-freezer) and in the bottom part (freezer).
2) There are many shelves and drawers to both store and keep the food and beverages cold and fresh.
3) There are three 3 drawers in the non-freezer section, one drawer for meats & cheeses and two for produce called humidity controlled crispers (an adjustable nob present on both of these crispers allows the user to control the amount of air flow [humidity] from low to high inside the drawer depending on the type of produce present).
4) There is a place inside the refrigerator for a water filter that is good for up to 6 months before it must be replaced.
5) There is also an alarm present and when it is turned on (can be turned off), it will beep a couple of times after any of the doors remain opened for 1 minute, and it will continue to beep in 30 second intervals until all of the doors are closed.
6) There is an electronic display on the outside of the refrigerator that provides the inside temperature; the number of months remaining until the filter needs to be replaced; and controls to change the temperature & the type of ice dispensed (crushed or cubed), to reset the filter gauge after replace the filter, and to turn the alarm on or off.
There are only a few minor negatives about the refrigerator, and they are as follows:
1) The ice container is small.
2) The ice and water dispensers are kind of slow.
3) The top shelf is not uniform in height so can only store taller items (like bottles, milk, orange or other juice containers, etc.) on one side of the shelf because the other side of the shelf is shorter in height. There is a couple of shelves on the doors of the fridge where these taller items can also be placed
4) The stainless steel model is difficult to clean on the outside, especially fingerprints. I would suggest choosing a non-stainless steel model, as it would be easier to clean.
Overall, this is a very good model that works well in storing the food and beverages and in keeping the food cold and fresh. I would recommend it to others for purchase.

Ice maker has low capacity

I was blown away after a customer service rep helped me reset the ice maker using my smart phone. It had quit making ice after a power failure. All's OK now but the ice maker has a small capacity. Not enough for even a small cooler. I like the bottom drawer freezer with 2 drawers for organization and capacity. It's great not having frozen blocks of food falling out onto your feet. Good lighting throughout the entire unit.
Pros: easy to use, smart features

We knew the day we bought our previous refrigerator we'd made a mistake. It was a side-by-side, so access to the freezer or refrigerator was a challenge. After only 6 years (still practically new!) we couldn't take it any longer and bought a bottom-freezer, french-door refrigerator. We waited for over a month to write a review to be sure we liked it. Bottom line: we would buy this model again. We trusted the LG line based on experience and Consumer Reports' recommendation. Access is wonderful - with both doors open, there's nothing you can't find! I no longer have to scream to my wife, "Where's the leftover pie?" The bottom freezer makes total sense as you will likely open the top (easy to see, reach) about ten times as often as the bottom. Oh, and when you open the bottom freezer, you can see everything there as well - you're standing over it, right? The back shelf of the freezer slides out automatically and closes automatically as well. This model has the water and ice access on the left door - we knew we had to have this as the old fridge had it and we were used to quick access to both. The LED lights are cool, literally cool (not a heat-creator inside your fridge) and they will likely last the life of the appliance - no more bulbs to change (or ignore) so no more dark refrigerator! I'm a freak about maintenance, so I was very happy at the easy-access to the water filter. Our only complaint, and it's minor enough that we would buy this particular model again, is that you have to be careful to hold your glass, coffee pot, or whatever, tightly when filling with water on the door or it could slip. A simple curvature on the water lever would make all the difference. We quickly got used to this minor quirk so it's not an issue. The appearance is very modern and sleek - we went for the stainless look in this kitchen. We don't normally buy refrigerators when they aren't old and broken, but we expect this one to last a long time. We also expect we'll still like it in six years.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, quiet!

Looks good

I loved this fridge for the first 12 months I owned it. It looked great and served its purpose. On month 13 I learned how responsive the LG technicians are. There's even a 90 day warranty on repair services. This fridge has a lot of features which make it a challenge to repair.
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice design and quiet too.

This was our first in-door water/ice dispenser refrigerator. What we really liked is the entire ice maker is in the door and not taking up part of the main shelf area like other ice makers do. That leaves much more space in the fridge part and a much cleaner look to the inside. The ice does occasionally get stuck by forming an ice bridge in the ice storage bucket. It’s easily fixed by opening up the ice compartment and pushing the ice down or removing the ice container and shaking it.
The water dispenser is not clear where the water will come out. Me and the grandkids have put the glass under the ice dispenser and pushed the water switch by hand not realizing the water comes out of a different nozzle. This could be designed a little better. I do understand why this was placed this way so one could get a water pitcher under the water spout. It’s a good idea just needs a little more indictors on the water spout like maybe a water decal and an arrow sticker on the water spout.
The compressor is warrantied for TEN years considering we are buying a new fridge because our last fridge (another company) compressor went up after 7 years. The LG is also much quieter than our other fridge. Since our kitchen is right next to our TV/ reading room this quiet compressor is great.
I like the LED lights in the fridge compartment and my wife likes the French doors. I’m not a big fan of French doors but I’m adapting.
Bottom line the food stays cold, the compressor is quiet, warrantied for 10 years and the ice maker takes up very little space. Plus it looks good.

GREAT

This was a replacement for a larger side by side.I found that although it is several cubic feet smaller it has much more useable space. The unobstructed top shelf and the smartly designed ice maker increase the useable space.
I thought the ice maker might be too small, but even though it is used frequently it never has run out of ice.
The ability to fill tall pitchers is a real bonus.
There is nothing negative I can say about the appliance. It is just simply GREAT!

Great Frig but . . .

This refrigerator is nice to look at and has some good features. I like the french doors. I like the adjustability of the shelves. I wish that the deli drawer was split into 2 so that you could open it without opening both doors though.
There appears to be a service bulletin out on the automatic ice maker/dispenser. The problem is so widespread that the parts to fix it are backordered. It jams up with ice, and can't be unjammed. I had to turn the icemaker off and it was 3 months before I had a useable icemaker in my brand new refrigerator. Don't buy one until the fix appears in new refrigerators.

Quiet and Spacious Refrigerator

This refrigerator is mostly user friendly and certainly an attractive appliance. The control panel is very easy to use to set temps and other functions. Two areas where it could be better are the water/ice dispenser and the fruit and vegetable drawers. It would be nice to have a drain in the dispenser that could empty into a removable cup or an area where the water would evaporate. It would also be nice to have the fruit/vegetable drawers the same width as each of the French doors. That way you could open each drawer without having to open both of the French doors.
Pros: easy to use, Quality
