[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit about a month ago. So far everything is great. I love how bright the light is on the inside and the alarm. Three things that I must note are; 1. The water that dispenses from the door is not cold. 2. The doors on this unit are squarer than other refrigerators I have had, so more room is needed in order to swing the doors fully open, which is required to use the large tray drawer in the bottom of the refrigerator section. 3. The top tray in the freezer doesn't pull out as far as the actual freezer door, so it is awkward to reach the back of the drawer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased this model in 12/2013, as of 4/2019 the unit no longer works. The compressor needs to be replaced, which is covered by LG but the service and labor are not. They only cover service up to 5 years, and I’ve had my unit for 4 months too long. Cost to repair would be almost equal to a new refrigerator. LG customer service was rude and unhelpful. When I stated that an expensive refrigerator should last longer than 5 years, I got the reasons “Well that’s life.” We will not be purchasing any other LG products as they do not last and they clearly lack customer service.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor product

I bought this is aug 2016 and nov 2019 freezer and ice maker stopped working. This is horrible to spend this much money on a product and the company knows there is a problem. I will never buy another LG product and I have a house full of them. You should not spend over $1000 and three years later need to buy a new one. Craziness!!!! Not at all happy! They know there is a problem with the linear compressor they should fix it for nothing!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would love to know how my fridge knew exactly when the warranty ended before one of it's components failed. It's a lovely refridgerator. Big and roomy. Keeps things cold. But about 13 months after purchasing and 10 months plugged in after a 3 month kitchen remodel, I am back to making ice cubes like my grandma made. Yay for ice cube trays! But since the warranty expired, I will probably have to wait until after the holidays before I can afford to have someone out to figure out why my ice dispensor leaks like a sieve. I'm keeping my fingers crossed my other appliances haven't heard about the manufacturer warranty expiring.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we bought this lovely LGRefrigerator seven years ago for are new home. This was just the right size and it works great. Never a problem then the ice maker stop and seen some water on the floor. It turn out that the compressor stop making cold enough air for the freezer. Thank goodness that the warranty on the compressor was for ten years. We paid for labor that was quite a saving. This still looks like a new refrigerator and good for another ten years plus.What was so special was the fact that we just called the LG and they told us to place the phone up to the refrigerator door. They were able to tell us that it was the compressor that was going out and gave us three numbers of comtractors in the area to do the repairs right here in the house. This is a great service. Thank you.
