[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stated dimensions of this refrigerator are not accurate. While they do match up to the width + height of the back edge of the unit, for some reason both the side and top panels bulge outward as you move toward the front of the unit. So while the stated dimensions would have fit into the space we had available in our cabinet configuration, we found that when we tried to install the unit it would not fit due to the bulging along the sides + top. As a result we were forced to trim both the sides and the top of the cabinet space. We found the actual width to be 36', not the 35 3/4 ' stated, while the height is closer to 68 3/4', not the 68 3/8' stated. And the unit is not "square", meaning that the bulging occurs toward the middle of the top and side panels but not along the edges. One of our neighbors said the unit looks "pregnant". Also, the tops of the doors are nearly impossible to align with one another - we adjusted the height screw all the way up on the left side door while the height screw on the right side door is all the way down and the tops of the doors still do not align with one another. Also, the freezer drawer is VERY noisy when opened/ closed. The noise appears to be coming from the wheels on the righthand side of the drawer. Finally, the righthand side door does not close smoothly at all, and will remain open unless closed by hand. All in all we are rather disappointed with this purchase. If we had had more time to find a new fridge to replace our old one we undoubtedly would have selected a different one, but as it was we urgently needed to replace our old one and selected this one based on the stated dimensions (which as mentioned above are NOT accurate) + our assuming that LG was a quality manufacturer.

I love the size of the ice maker in the door.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator in July 2018 to replace a different brand lemon. I did a lot of research and decided on this LG refrigerator. I love the space, lighting and the large water dispenser area. I drink a lot of water and use a huge amount of ice daily and this refrigerator keeps up with my needs. The extra slide out drawer in both the refrigerator portion and the freezer section allow great organization and to be able to easily view items. I actually downsized from a 27 cu ft refrigerator to this 24.7 and the LG actually seems larger because of the smart interior design and in-door ice maker. The only feature I wish it had was a hands free measured fill capability.
The refrigerator is a high quality, beautiful style, extremely quiet and very spacious. It's easy to clean and is simply beautiful in my kitchen. I plan to buy all LG appliances in the future.

The only drawbacks are that it runs out of ice quickly, takes too long to make more ice, and the water dispenser is slow (can take more than a minute to fill a small glass). Otherwise, it's working well and we're happy.

Ice tastes and smells awful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I clean the ice bin in baking soda and water and have boxes in the fridge and freezer but after two or three weeks the ice smells and tastes bad again. Anyone have this problem or any suggestions? We use alot of ice so it doesn't sit for long in the bin.
