Good for the money

This refrigerator works well, seems really spacious after my old side by side. There is a need for more ice storage, some models come with a second icemaker or at least a bin in the freezer, I would opt for that instead. And the ice maker drips, then freezes, so it's a struggle sometimes to free it from the door, and there are big clumps of cubes fused together. Love the big drawer for cold cuts/cheeses/etc. There is a lack of storage in the doors, the shelves are very shallow, which I guess is standard with French doors. All in all, I really like this fridge, and not terribly expensive.
Pros: bang for the dollar

Plenty of room for everything. Easy to program. Icemaker froze up after 2 months but it was replaced under warranty. Keeps everything cokd and the energy savings are a plus.

This refrigerator has been a great investment. We are pleased with all the efficiencies this beautiful machine has. Just the space alone is awesome. The pull out drawer for the freezer is the best. We have had no food storage issues at all. Highly recommend this unit for any family big or small.
Pros: strictly awesome

Overall good except for ice maker

I have owned this refrigerator several years and am pretty happy with it except the ice maker is a curse. I wanted the bottom freezer and have no complaints but I believe that since the ice maker is technically in front of the refrigerator and not the freezer that it slightly melts the ice and clogs up the bin so you can't get the ice out from the front. Practically everyday I have to open the ice maker latch and jam a wooden spoon into the ice bin and stir before I can get ice for a drink. This refrigerator cost way too much to have to do this! I've had 4 other people tell me the same thing. When I looked at this model at the store there is no way to tell that this will happen as the ice maker is not hooked up. Believe me, I have warned others about this. As with all LG appliances, they are oversized. This is a great feature unless you are trying to jam it into an existing space- both our refrigerator and dishwasher required shaving a kitchen cabinet down and re running a water line. I'm shopping for an oven now and want it to match but am a little nervous about similar space restrictions
Pros: Performance

I love this refrigerator. I got the stainless steel, and it's beautiful, and easy to clean. It is so quiet you don't even know when it's on. The freezer capacity is amazing. I have had no trouble with the icemaker. The adjustability of the shelves is great. I have had it less than a month, but I can already see a difference in my electric bill. I did notice two things; I wish you could open the fruit/veggie drawers without opening both doors, and the top pull-out freezer shelf should come out farther.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Quality

Everything is amazing about this fridge! It does get fingerprints a lot, but they are easy to clean off. I love the bottom freezer especially how much it holds. The top sliding drawer in the freezer is really helpful for storing smaller frozen items.

Product lacking in some ways

Biggest disappointment was with the extremely small ice bin. If one or two people live in the residence, then there is probably sufficient ice on a daily basis. But if family with kids, you are out of luck. Size of ice bin and amount unit makes to bin fill point very small compared to my last unit which was a Frigidaire and had large bin and large supply of ice on hand at all times. Vegetable and fruit pull out drawers designed poorly. Must open both refrig french doors just to pull out one of the drawers. Should have made it so one could open either door only to get to the drawer they wanted. Same problem with the Glide and Serve pull out drawer. It is one piece drawer across width of interior. Must open both refrig doors to pull out this drawer to get to one item you may need. Not very energy efficient way to use this refrig. I regret that I did not study this unit in the store a little more closely and recognize these usage issues. If I had I would not have bought this unit. Otherwise, unit operates fine, runs quietly and refrig keeps things cold and freezer keeps things frozen.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, Quality
