Simple yet Elegant

We are very pleased with the look and operation of our GE microwave. It doesn't have some of the bells and whistles others might have, but that makes operating the microwave that much easier. From a performance standpoint for heating, thawing, popcorn, etc. it has handled every operation perfectly. From a size standpoint, it has handled everything we have tried to put into it. And from a look and feel standpoint, its clean simple lines are the best looking of any we saw while shopping. Also, I did the install myself without any issues. It fits perfectly in a standard opening above the stove.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had this OTR microwave for about 3 months and am enjoying that it is quieter than the older GE which had been in place. The turntable is great, since the other one did not have one, and the microwave itself is really fast.

Nice looking Microwave

Installed the 1.6 GE Microwave replacing the 1.8 GE that quit working last week. Found out the wall brackets for the 1.6 are not the same as the 1.8 so we had to make some changes to the old brackets to allow for installing of the 1.6 GE microwave. I sure would be nice if someone would create standards for all brands but if not the same brand should maintain a standard. All is well now and hopefully we will get the same service out of our new GE 1.6 as we did with the old GE. Thanks

Nice looking. Good price and color matched existing appliances. It is not as quiet as I would like and the heating is not as even as it should be. The keypad needs a bit of pressure for the functions to register. I wouldn't say don't buy it, but, I would not set my expectations too high.

I bought this product last month and I've loved it!! It performs better than I thought. I was a little hesitant to buy GE as I had a bad experience few years ago but this product is superior to many of the other microwaves and it is even recommended by Consumer Reports!
Great product!! I'll definitely suggest my friends to buy it too!!

Everything I expected it to be. The door does not open and close easily. I feel like I am waking up the entire neighbohood (I live in a condo) when I use it at 6 am.
