This unit looks great and I was looking forward to the upgrade, but it has proven to be a major disappointment. It lacks functionality and storage efficiency. The glass shelves are flimsy and not as adjustable as expected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just got the refrigerator but think Im going to love it. Im not sure how it is going to be getting ice, wanted an ice maker in the door but no room in my kitchen for that type fridge. This one fits perfect!

Upgraded to this model Roomy, efficient, quiet.. Family LOVES IT!!!!!! LOVES IT!!!
and most importantly I LOVE IT......... I detest stainless steel appliances and this GE model gave us the option to purchase the SLATE color model..... Super easy to clean, no fingerprints or residue or marks anywhere.

I love the features and double doors of the refridgerator, however the freezer is really small and not easy to organize.

Very disapointed. Freezer is a joke. Very little space and no second basket. Rridge space is poorly designed. Shelves, while movable, do not slide out and are not spill proof. Center shelf spans entire width of fridge with no center support so it sags. Poorly designed door storage - not enough shelves/inserts to hang shelves. Crisper draws do not have climate controls and fruit/veggies in drawers freeze if you turn down temp in fridge to keep milk cold. Really a basic fridge for a lot of money. Wanted slate finish and this is the ONLY model that would fit in the space in my kitchen. Basically, I sacrificed functionality for appearance. If I could return the fridge and replace with another model in slate that would fit in my kitchen I would do so immediately, but do not have that option.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
