I have only had this dryer for one week. So far it meets my expectations.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive

DO NOT ROTATE THE INSIDE - WILL BREAK!

This dryer is MY FIRST NEW dryer! It seems to get all loads dry, even in a mix load. We have 4 kids and use this daily! Once a month I might have 1 load that gets twisted up and not fully dry, but an easy fix with the time dry feature.
HOWEVER I am hesitant about owning THIS dryer because within a couple months we got an error message and it started making some loud noises. The warranty covered repairs and the technician was VERY knowledgeable. I learned quickly that this specific part breaks A LOT on these machines. The service company has seen MANY of these repairs on Samsung dryers (all covered under warranty), but doesn't get a whole lot of calls for Samsung washers. Just dryers typically. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT EVER ROTATE THE INSIDE TUB! DO NOT GO AFTER THAT MISSING SOCK! DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS GET CLOTHES OUT OF THE DRYER! If the tub gets turned the slightest bit, this part (can't remember off hand the name?) BREAKS and your dryer becomes REALLY NOISY.
Pros: matches the washer
Cons: Poor quality, breaks easily
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Cycle choices designed poorly.

For a dryer with a multitude of cycles the engineers did not do the most basic thing; Give the buyer the ability to choose. You cannot choose which dry level and temperature that you want. For a dryer with 15 preset options they left off the most important one. Even most basic dryers give you a choice to make your own cycle. It took me 2 calls to the call center for them to figure it out that you can't choose certain cycles. The first person kept arguing with me that I wasn't following their directions.

It May Not Work All The Time

We found it the hard way. If you do not have enough laundry in the dryer, it may not even work properly. It will probably work like 10-15 minutes, and the cloths are not dry yet, but the dryer refuse to continue to work until you put more dry or wet laundry in there. It just refuses to continue. This is annoying because sometimes, we only have a few dirty laundry, but we could dry it after washing them.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For about nine years we used a similar Samsung dryer at our previous home and thought it was great. We sold that dryer along with the house this year. We immediately purchased this new Samsung dryer for our new home and assumed that it would operate at the same great level that we had become accustom to. It has not. The dryer does not dry the clothes properly and on several settings it leaves them damp or wet. A local serviceman is coming out tomorrow and we hope that it is a fix that is simple and under warranty, otherwise we will be very disappointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
