Great little tablet for a good price

I was reading information about the new Nvidia Tegra 7 inch tablets with a stylus when I came across the EVA Tegra Note 7. Although it looked powerful, the build quality wasn't very good. Then I discovered that HP created the same product, but in a much nicer put together package. It was continuously sold out until January, which gave me the impression it would be good. Once I got it, all doubts left. The performance of this tablet is amazing. Having owned a Nexus 7, as well as other tablets, I can say the Tegra 4 internals outperform other tablets in both gaming and multimedia by a huge margin. Everything is smooth and I have yet to have any lag whatsoever. The batter life is excellent. I find even with all my use, I still have more than half a charge on the battery after a full day at work. They stylus is very precise, and the response delay is very small, so it feels almost like you are writing on a notepad. Flip the stylus around, and the tablet automatically goes into erase mode, so you can fix mistakes easily. As for built quality, this thing is rock solid. The weight is nice, and the size is perfect for both work and fitting into my coat pocket afterwards. Hopefully HP will upgrade the version of Android to 4.3 or 4.4 soon, making it the perfect device.

great tablet

I purchased this for my husband from the children and grandchildren for Fathers Day. He loves it. He didnt think he needed one but now that he owns one he is a Happy man! I would recommend this tablet. Good battery life ,easy loading and fun to use. My Husband is 74 and can use this tablet easily. Thanks HP for another great and innovative but easy to use product. We are an HP family!

This tablet is the best of the 7'' for the price, its blazing fast good picture and the improve front speakers great, the only fault is the USB charge port is a bit hard to enter,
i have owned 4 slate t before but the Extreme blows them away

This tablet is a great product, well build, and very fast. Much more then I expected!! My kids love this tablet and I feel it is a lot better then the regular slate 7. Spend the extra money and go for the extreme!!

The HP Slate 7 Extreme was gotten for my brother as a tool for managing his email and for additional web access as his smart phone screen is just too small to be helpful for those things. It has been used daily since it arrived. So glad we ordered it! I've done updates and some tablet management for him and found a couple of apps (added after purchase) that indicated compatibility with Android didn't work. It was strictly a failure of those chosen apps not a problem with the tablet. Videos and television shows are great viewing on the Slate 7 Extreme. The camera takes clean, crisp pictures. Battery life has been excellent but if he needs a quick charge during the day, my brother just plugs it in via USB. The HP Slate 7 Extreme is exactly what we were hoping.

This thing creeks when I grab it and pick it up! The charging port is shallow and the cord pops out to easy! The charging cord needs to be at least 2 feet longer! And you need to be able to put any amount of GB SD card in only 32 sucks.... if you could USB it to a portable drive that would not be bad? Can you?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
