What's great about it: Convenient
What's not so great: Finicky
I purchased the Rocketfish wireless HDMI to avoid pulling four 20+ foot HDMI cables between an equipment cabinet and a wall mounted flat screen. It works (see below) and the picture quality is excellent.
What does not work well is the auto switching mode. To get it to change inputs I almost all the time have to manually select the input via the remote control. But if I had to pull the HDMI cables I would still have to change inputs on the TV.
Be sure to mount both units as high up as possible. Walking between them will cause dropouts.
In summary, would I buy it again - no. I would have pulled the HDMI cables.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What's great about it: Anyone can easily do this.
What's not so great: Not a thing.
I've been an entertainment electronics geek my whole life. At 45 I've seen my share of wires that need to be strategically hidden so that i can accomplish my installations in a neat fashion. I wanted to transition my cable signal from a built-in shelf on one side of my wood-burning fireplace to another on the opposite side. This product does the job perfectly. It was truly plug & play...less than a minute from box to completion. I think this is a great product that will hopefully be further-developed so I can get that signal upstairs on our bedroom level one day. I would have bought it sooner had there not been so many TV/Audio/Cable salespeople that had never heard of it... they all assured me that I would have to be hardwired.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: Need to buy additional HDMI cables to connect additional components, Small external power supply on the receiver
The item was easy to setup. Although it comes with two HDMI cables to get you started you will need additional cables to get additional components connected to it. This device is really two devices in one. It's an HDMI auto switcher and a wireless HD audio/video transmitter. It comes with a remote to switch ports if you have multiple components on at the same time.
It comes with four HDMI ports on the transmitter to connect four separate components. I have three components connected to this device XBOX 360, Sony Blu-Ray, and DirecTV HD receiver. All my components are sitting in the closet with the door closed. I use a Logitech Harmony 900 remote with it's RF repeater that turns on the components I need including the selection of the port on the Rocketfish 4-port HD transmitter.
The picture quality is really good. The audio is good no problems found here. Very happy with the performance of the device. I have tried one other device like this one from another manufacturer and that failed to send the audio of the DirecTV HD receiver to the TV. Not the case with this device. All my components work fine through this device to the TV.
The price is high, but for my installation of having the A/V components in the closet without a long cable hanging out it was worth the money.

hookup was easy. have cable with hd. switching back and fourth ,can see a big diffence. watching tv,no interruptions,great sound quality and after 3 weeks, totally satisfied !

What's great about it: Ease to set up, everything you need included
After only 24 hours of use I would say that so far this lives up to expectations. This product comes with everything you need to enjoy wireless HDMI signal without buying extra cables or cords. I chose this because it was cheaper than buying a cable the length that I needed in my home. Easy to hook up. Everything that you need is included in the box, including 2, 4 foot HDMI cables. I am only using it at a distance of <25 feet so I can't speak for longer transmissions but for in my living room it works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!
