Love at First Sight

We have been shopping for a replacement refrigerator for nearly three months and during this time we have visited approximately 8-9 stores, plus performing Internet research.
We decided to purchase this model because of the features, performance, the versatility of having 4 doors, along with the design aesthetics.
This model has dual zone cooling, as well as a "fast mode' to independently power cool the refrigerator and/or freezer. We found this is a very useful feature today while performing the initial setup for operation. The refrigerator and freezer cooled down to the desired temperatures in about 45 minutes time.
The temperatures for the refrigerator and freezer are displayed on the door in either F or C. The flex zone drawer also has it's own temperature indicator because you can vary the temperature in this drawer for your particular needs.
This model provides ice cubes, crushed ice and water through the door and the fill area accommodates tall and large cups.
Interior lighting is L.E.D. and this model has excellent lighting for all levels.
We also like the tactile feel and feedback that is imparted when operating the doors and drawers. We noticed a "cheap" feel when opening and closing the doors and drawers on several other brands.
The touch panel is intuitive and easy to operate.
We are very satisfied with our purchase and I'll update this information in the future, if so required.

Not Quite What I Expected

Just had a bottom freezer refrigerator give out after 13 years and thought I would try another brand. Samsung had a good repair record on the website associated with the appliance dealer.
We have never had an ice and water dispenser on the door and that is the principal reason my spouse opens the refrigerator, so it seemed like a good idea. However, that appears to be the only way to get ice from the refrigerator unless you want to take the whole ice container out while juggling both "French doors" open in the process.
The "Flex Zone" drawer also seemed like a good idea as I grew to love the large bottom drawer inside my old refrigerator. I could make a salad in its serving bowl and tuck it in the compartment for an hour while I prepared the remaining dinner items. The Samsung drawer features a device to separate the drawer into 4 sections, but there is no way to anchor it to hold those sections permanently. Each time the drawer opens, the contents of the sections roll or shift so that the items/sections don't stay as you've put them. For example, the meat at the back slides into the cheese section at the front, and any beer bottles that have been placed, just roll around.
The refrigerator shelves have a slight lip around the edges, so items placed at the rear or sides are slightly off kilter. If jars or bottles are placed level, you lose an inch all the way around. For example, a carton of eggs is manageable, but bottles are unstable. The shelves are off the back wall at least an inch to accommodate the cooling mechanism (?) anyway, so now the interior space is even smaller. As far as I can tell, the shelves have no center support so cannot be used independently, such as a step up or down on one half or the other.
I had to remove the shelf below the ice maker because I couldn't get milk and half and half containers on that side with the shelf in place. The bottom space on the other side is used for seltzer and juice and a few tall items like ketchup that won't fit elsewhere in the fridge. The convenience of having ice/water accessibility on the outside means you must give up a lot of interior door space.
The vegetable and fruit bins won't accommodate all my produce so delicate items like lettuce have to go on the top shelf.
Lastly, I don't like having the "French doors" (two doors to the main compartment). One door is enough.
Three things I like about this unit over my old refrigerator are: 1) the bottom of the freezer is actually the bottom. The old refrigerator had a grill at the bottom through which food dropped (nasty!), 2) the bell rings if the door has been left open, and 3) a filter indicator light is present to remind one that the filter needs changing.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: smaller square footage than indicated
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

i like that this refrigerator has a 3rd area where the temperature can be set differently from the main refrigerator and freezer compartments. i can keep meets isolated from fruits and vegetables and help reduce the risk of contaminating other foods.
i ended up getting the 30" instead of the 36" because the 36" would've been a really tight fit.
the 30" is a bit more restrictive for interior space, so it is a bit more difficult to place everything and still be able to see it/get to it. a 36" would not have this issue
