I bought this used a week ago and am still learning the many features. Setting up wifi is not very difficult. The touchscreen seemed balky at first but it takes a different touch than any smart phone. The battery stays charged long enough so I'm looking forward to recording band rehearsals and concerts. Many features to explore with this.

Great video but camera failed after 11 months usag

The picture quality of this camera is sensational. The IS is even better. But nothing is worse that having spend all that money and 11 months later the camera fails. Something with a faulty cmos and I can no longer take video. The screen flickers and the video is of terrible quality. Add insult to injury, I am travelling and cannot get back to the US to get this fixed. Bummer. Poor quality workmanship.

I bought this camera as an upgrade to my old Sony Hi-8 cassette cameras. While I still have some use for the older camcorders, I wanted something that had a better quality picture and I'm very happy about my purchase.

i was looking for a new camera that would not brake my bank. i found this camera . it has amazing quality and very smooth video. i love the optical stabilization, it has helped me in many situations and i do not need to spend more money on a study cam or anything like such. my only down side is i would like a better wide angle and zoom but the model that has it was out of my rang. its low light is good but nothing to be amazed at.
