What's great about it: Trace Adkins--enough said!
What's not so great: gosh, I can't come up with anything
Another stellar album from Trace Adkins. He stays true to his desire to do it his way by mixing up the sound and feel of the songs--there is something for everyone. From up-beat and silly with Its a Woman Thang and (on the Delux version) If I was a Woman; to introspective and soulful with Days like This and Always gonna Be that way; throw in a little bit of romance, Trace style with That's what you Get and Love Buzz but my favorite tracks are those that show Trace's connection to the working man with Proud to Be Here, Poor Folks and Just Fishin. REAL songs that will take you back and make you strong enough to move forward.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's great about it: Easy to listen to
What's not so great: Cant think of a thing
So glad I got this album! Pround Trace is here to make such good music and hope he will for a long time! My favorite is the duet with Blake Shelton. I'm a sucker for a funny song! Way to go Trace! Thanks for the laugh and a few tugs on the heart strings!

What's not so great: Nothing, it's a great CD.
I love listening to "Proud To Be Here". What a great CD!! So many different syples of music. The premier song "Just Fishin" is such a great song and brings back so many great memories. There are all types of music on this CD.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well Trace you did it again with this CD. It is one that comes from the heart and your heart is very big with everything that has happened to you. I have listened to the CD " Proud To Be Here" at least 10 times since I got it the other day. Thank you for putting such feeling and heart into your music. As a huge fan of yous thank you for the music and being true to yourself and your fans.

I really, really, really enjoyed this new release! Every song on it is worth a listen. I would highly recommend this album to anybody regardless if you are a fan or not. You will become one after listening to this! ;)

What's great about it: Deluxe Edition is worth the money for the extra songs - some of the best songs on the album!
As Trace Adkins enters his fifteenth year in the music industry, he SHOULD be proud to be here, because this is his best album yet. Many tracks on this one are destined to be Top Ten songs, if not #1.
His release of the song and video, "Just Fishin'", prior to the album release, gives insight into his beliefs and feelings as a father. The sentiment of this one is not lost on parents, especially dads, when it comes to their children.
The album title song, Proud To Be Here, is excellent, too, but others on the album are even better, and all of the songs showcase this multi-talented singer. The Deluxe Edition is well worth the extra cost, for the fabulous song, Semper Fi, showcasing the Marines. Trace is well known for his loyalty and admiration for the military, and this one is superb.
The fun he has with Blake Shelton, singing If I Was a Woman - well, that one needs to be made into a video for sure. It would be absolutely hilarious, no doubt.
The light hearted Da#@ You Bubba, as well as It's a Woman Thang are great songs, as well, and highlight Trace Adkins' sense of humor.
There are also tunes that will make it hard to sit still, with a great beat to them, very catchy - That's What You Get, Million Dollar View, and Love Buzz.
One that will get you thinking is also from the Deluxe version - More of Us. Another great one, in my opinion.
Trace Adkins has produced an album with something for everyone, with this release. He has such a full range of talent, with a voice everyone loves - and in this album, his personality shines, as does his sense of humor.
This album definitely is a Must Have!
I would recommend this to a friend!

This album is excellent. Trace keeps getting better and better with every new album. This album is the complete package...fun songs, serious songs, rock, country, blues....this one has it all...and Trace does it all so well!!! This man is a true entertainer and if you get the Deluxe Edition, even get a bit of Blake Shelton in a duet with Trace in a song called "If I Was a Woman"~~ I highly suggest buying Trace Adkins latest CD!! Also the Cover Art (especially the inside cover) has a VERY nice picture of sexy Trace! Love it!!

What's great about it: Meaningful songs performed brilliantly.
What's not so great: There are several versions for sale. The DeLuxe version is SO worth the extra couple of dollars!
Trace Adkins' latest release "Proud to Be Here" surpassed my expectations. The songs reveal numerous musical styles, and show off his amazing vocal range. I enjoy hearing opposite perspectives about relationships from those full of compassion and devotion, such as "Million Dollar View" and "Just Fishin'" to the light-hearted "It's a Woman Thang" and "If I was a Woman". I actually cried listening to Semper Fi. What an incredible song.
I've only picked out a few songs to comment on here, but after repeatedly listening to "Proud to Be Here", I still cannot pick out a favorite song or two. It's as if the entire CD tells stories from complimentary perspectives. Each time I listen to it I hear different nuances - a tribute to the gift that Trace Adkins has, and fortunately share with us.
While I've shared about the actual music, I must add that the photography used with this CD is absolutely f.a.n.t.a.s.t.i.c. Great shots of Trace.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What's not so great: absolutely nothing.
Once again Trace has put out another cd that is outstanding and takes us on the rollercoaster ride that only he can do. He has given us songs to laugh, (If I Was A Woman and It's A Woman Thang) songs to reflect on (Days Like This and Just Fishin) and Trace's love songs without be all sappy ( That's What You Get and Love Buzz). His voice can give you chill bumps when he does that raspy growl or deep baritone. Trace wide range of vocals just puts you in awe when you listen to his music. Only thing better than this cd is seeing Trace perform live. If you haven't YOU MUST!!!

I have already almost worn my new "Proud To Be Here" cd out!!!!! I have played over and over, over over and then some,etc.......
WOW!!!!!!! It has me on fire and gives me Trace fever!!!!! Trace covered all the bases with this album. There is some of all generes of music on this album, from country to rockin, R&B, soulful blues, to some gospel, but most important Trace stayed true to hisself and his roots and once again delivered to his FANS what we love to hear from him!!!!!!
