Lots of capacity but not practical

Icemaker is in top of frig compartment. Unless you dispense ice every few hrs., the ice will freeze together and won't dispense well and you get a lot of 'crushed ice' with the cubes. Frig roomy but not well compartmentized. Have to move or dig around items to get to most things. Have to open both doors to open wide bottom tray.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Disappointed

My Samsung French door refrigerator (Model # RF28HFEDBSR) which is only a little more than 4 years old has been making a loud vibrating noise that increases in loudness and frequency with time. Apparently ice build up around a fan used for air circulation. A professional repairman removed and replaced a temperature sensor, but the problem came back within a week.

The ice maker has been nothing but problems. It freezes up daily. Dethaw it to get the ice to work each day but now even that doesn't work.. I am beyond frustrated and all of the issues happened a day after our 3 year warranty expired. It is not a cheap fridge, so you'd expect the darn thing to work!

Great Refrigerator Except for the Ice Maker

We want to love this refrigerator but the Ice maker has gone out twice in two years. The first time the fan in the ice maker went out and the smell made the ice taste like onions. Now the ice maker is out and it ices up the entire ice maker compartment to where it will not dispense ice. To make matters worse I have to shut down the entire unit for 72 hours to defrost it before the repair.
It may be a great machine but the unreliable ice maker has me soured and I will not buy another Samsung appliance.
Pros: spacious, very functional
Cons: Poor quality, unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Initially noticed a very loud buzz from the fridge, and found it to be quite annoying, so much so that I was contemplating returning it. However, a little sleuthing revealed that a copper line was barely touchy the compressor, resulting in it's vibrating and producing noise. A slight push to barely bend the pipe out of the way (it's malleable), and viola...problem fixed! I suspect all others who've had the noise problem have a similar, easily remedied issue. I would suggest calling in a technician if you are uncomfortable removing the few screws in the bottom rear of the refrigerator. Easiest money he'll ever make. ;)
The deli drawer on our refrigerator does indeed come off of the side rails quite easily and can be a pain to get back on. I've noticed some wear of the plastic as a result and am hoping the fridge outlives the drawer and not the other way around. Time will tell. I'm surprised that got through the quality control of the design process.
This Samsung is otherwise well designed and very spacious, much more so than our old side-by-side. Ice cubes are a little smallish and lack density, resulting in a quick melt, but it's certainly adequate for most purposes. In spite of the drawer issue, I do not regret my purchase decision.
Pros: Bright display, well laid out, quiet
Cons: deli drawer comes off rails, doesn't prepare my meals for me

Ice Maker repeatedly gets frozen and quits making ice

Purchased this refrigerator in 2016 and was very happy with it at the time. Then we started to have trouble with our icemaker not working. We have had to call the repair company to get the ice machine working a few times. Also, water is always leaking from the ice maker and leaks inside the refrigerator.
I am concerned because the repairs only provide a temporary fix and the refrigerator is only two years old. It is unacceptable to have a new appliance in this condition. This seems to be a design flaw that causes ice melting then freezing up the dispenser.
Disappointed in our purchase and would like to return it, but cant.
Pros: looks nice
Cons: Did not meet expectations

I'm not sure why only now it comes out in reviews (exactly a year since purchase so no longer under the warranty) that the ice maker is leaking water into the ice tray chamber causing it all to freeze over the mechanism that dispenses the ice. Currently have it on ice maker off so I don't have to defreeze it each time and cleaning up a huge mess. That much for the ice and water in the door feature...
Cons: Poor quality

The Best Refrigerator I have ever owned!

I did a lot of checking out of refrigerators before deciding on buying this one. I checked out the Internet and then went to all the stores to physically look at and see the products. This one has the best design. It is amazing how much we are enjoying using it. I can see everything so easy now. No wasting of food because I thought I needed something and then would buy another only to find that I already had bought it before . The lighting is awesome and so much space. The price was fair compared to all the other ones that I checked out. I was worried about the bottom freezer but it is so easy to access and also as I wrote, can see everything . Love the wide open space, adjustable shelves, cool drawers, I could go on and on. We all are so happy with our new refrigerator. This is the one!!!!!!!!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Inexpensive, stainless steel easy to wipe and clean
