Ummm... they are all out to get us!

Speaking to someone in the know, I guess all of these household appliances are built very poorly. Getting the warranty is the best thing you can do, and even then you might be in trouble with deductibles... It's a big racket.
The ice maker in this fridge was poorly designed and it's a well documented incident that Samsung redesigned the ice cube maker, poorly at that where air gets in the chamber and will only allow for crushed ice. This also blows out a solenoid in the device. It's covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but honestly, it costs way too much money to be that poorly designed.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst icemaker design ever

My icemaker constantly freezes up, leaks water, and has mushy ice. I have to constantly defrost and I have to keep a kitchen towel under the dispenser to keep the water from dripping onto the floor every time the door is opened. Just had a service tech out who acknowledged faulty dispenser. Wants to charge a ridiculous amount to repair a manufacturer flaw. Service Bulletin has been posted.
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality, known icemaker defect flaw

Icemaker is in top of frig compartment. Unless you dispense ice every few hrs., the ice will freeze together and won't dispense well and you get a lot of 'crushed ice' with the cubes. Frig roomy but not well compartmentized. Have to move or dig around items to get to most things. Have to open both doors to open wide bottom tray.

Do not buy this fridge. We’ve had it for 2 years. The icemaker doesn’t work, the fridge is cumbersome and beeps all the time. Awful purchase. Will never buy a Samsung fridge again!

Very Disappointed

My Samsung French door refrigerator (Model # RF28HFEDBSR) which is only a little more than 4 years old has been making a loud vibrating noise that increases in loudness and frequency with time. Apparently ice build up around a fan used for air circulation. A professional repairman removed and replaced a temperature sensor, but the problem came back within a week.

The ice maker has been nothing but problems. It freezes up daily. Dethaw it to get the ice to work each day but now even that doesn't work.. I am beyond frustrated and all of the issues happened a day after our 3 year warranty expired. It is not a cheap fridge, so you'd expect the darn thing to work!

Ice Maker Design is defective

I bought this unit in November, 2017. After a few months, the ice maker started freezing up. I should have returned it to the store and demanded a refund. Every four weeks or so, I have to unplug the unit, remove the ice maker dispenser, and try to defrost the ice maker section to melt out the ice dams that build up and block the ice from dropping in to the ice bucket. From the reviews I have read on line, this is a common problem that many people have had with this model. My recommendation to anyone looking for a new Refrigerator/Freezer is to stay away from Samsung in general, and this model in particular.

Great Refrigerator Except for the Ice Maker

We want to love this refrigerator but the Ice maker has gone out twice in two years. The first time the fan in the ice maker went out and the smell made the ice taste like onions. Now the ice maker is out and it ices up the entire ice maker compartment to where it will not dispense ice. To make matters worse I have to shut down the entire unit for 72 hours to defrost it before the repair.
It may be a great machine but the unreliable ice maker has me soured and I will not buy another Samsung appliance.
Pros: spacious, very functional
Cons: Poor quality, unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
