Doesn't Work Unless You Buy A Memory Card Separate

I can't rate the blasted thing, because it doesn't work as sold. It doesn't come with a memory card and it doesn't work without one. Now I have to figure out what card to buy and where, and what's an acceptable price. No warning of this anywhere in the marketing. Thought I was getting a working camcorder for the advertised price. Live and learn, I guess, but what an odd sales practice. If I ever order a car online, maybe it will be delivered without tires.
I bought this a month ago for a trip overseas. Coukld not use the zoom featuyre because the video shook uncontrolably. Even when using a tripod. Sucks. Very upset because I relied on this to record important details and could only pan out to the widest to make is usable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi JohnP123 ,
We apologize for the inconvenience. Did you use the SteadyShot feature to compensate for camera shake? Refer to this link for more details; http://helpguide.sony.net/cam/1440/v1/en/contents/TP0000557829.html.

Hi Blizzard,
The camcorder can only shoot in 1080p, but you can change the frame rate and image quality in which to record. Learn more about it through this link, http://helpguide.sony.net/cam/1440/v1/en/contents/TP0000557857.html.
View finder/screen is useless in bright sun for anything not close up. Rest of the camera is fine.

Hi Stannpaul, thank you for letting us know about your experience and we welcome your feedback. You can adjust the brightness level if the LCD monitor is not bright enough. Please check this article for the steps and further details: http://helpguide.sony.net/cam/1440/v1/en/contents/TP0000557893.html?search=Brightness.
I took some videos and watched them on the camcorder. I downloaded play memories and connected the camcorder to my computer. It is a Toshiba using windows 7 ultimate. No communication. I tried everything I could think off, and nothing. I have a Sony SLRA200 and have no problems at all. What good is the camcorder if I can't download the videos.

Hi LarryO,
Please make sure that the camcorder is turned on to start USB connection. The LCD should display USB connected when connection is established. Please use the built in USB cord.
Tried getting a hold of someone for help. Good luck getting help. Their camcorders are horrible. I bought mine 2018 and it's ruined one of my SD card. Another old camcorder of theirs stopped taking cassettes. All of these contain memories of all of my dogs who died. NEVER BUY ANY SONY PRODUCT!!!!
