I was able to receive this camcorder through a rewards program at my employer. It just arrived and I was amazed at how small it is. I have 2 much older tape-based Sony camcorders and I'm going to transfer those videos to a solid state drive and just stick with this small camcorder.
One weird thing is that there is no external memory card included. So I purchased two 256-gb SDXC cards, the small Sony camera case and the Sony travel charger as well. But I am really amazed at the size. I can't believe how far camcorders have come in teh past 20+ years!

I bought a Handycam about 15 years ago. It was AWESOME, but I lost it in a move. So I bought a new one. This camera is the worst. Charging light won't work, battery wont charge....I thought I got a lemon, but nope, same issue straight out of the box again. Sony quality has tanked.

Crisp, clear and easy to use joystick and menu functions, large enough view finder, zoom, etc. Low purchase price, took to the beach on vacation and didn't have any issues. 4 stars because I've only had it for a month.
