Overall this is an excellent range - ovens heat evenly and fast, burners are plenty powerful and easy to control, user interface is intuitive, and the overall design makes cleaning simple. Above all, the assembly quality, fit & finish, and materials appear to be a notch above most all consumer ranges, and actually better than some of the "professional" ranges. There are a few opportunities for improvement. First the probe thermometer function is kind of quirky - it assumes that you do not pre-heat the oven, the probe cord is really short, and when the desired temperature is reached, it shuts off the oven. You really need to make the probe so it runs in a monitor only mode, rather than default to controlling the oven. Second, the ventilation fan is pretty noisy (not the convection fan, but the one that cools the controls, etc. Third, the lower oven is really low - you need to get on your hands and knees to use it, but this is simply a trade off for floor standing double ovens. Lastly, the upper oven is a "dumb" oven and doesn't benefit from all the digital controls that the lower oven has - but it does perform well - set the temperature w/ the knob and forget it!
Lastly, the "gap" behind the oven is a little annoying - it can be reduced by about 1/2" by simply re-positioning the grommet/strain relief for the power cord. The rest probably needs to be there for air intake.
One last thing - unfortunately, it's not made in USA - but in Mexico. But probably better than some of the far-east made appliances that are starting to hit the market.

Love our new range!

We received the range just 3 days before Thanksgiving and it was just what we needed! We utilized the convection baking feature in the lower over to bake pumpkin pies and other baked goods a couple of days before the holiday. They came out great and the oven was so easy to use. The morning of the big day we were concerned with the size of the lower oven as we had a 22 lbs brined turkey but it fit with no problem. Using the convection roast setting at 350 degrees it was fully cooked in 3.5 hours. It turned out beautifully- skin was golden brown with just the right amount of "crunch" while the meat was tender and juicy. As our guests arrived, each with their own side dish, the upper oven became essential as we cooked or re-heated their dishes while the turkey continued to cook in the lower oven. It was a beautiful sight! In fact, we received compliment after compliment from our guests and more than one person stated "I have to get one of those for our house!" During the holiday weekend we utilized the griddle feature on the middle burner to make pancakes. It was easy to use and we're loving each new feature we utilize. The only issue so far has been the temperature of the upper oven which is off by approximately 50 degrees too low. GE is sending a repair tech to make an adjustment-- our appointment was available just 3 days after we requested service. All is all, very pleased with our purchase and would highly recommend the unit.

One epic baking fail after another

What better time to write a review that when you're exhausted, out of patience and have just ruined another perfectly good load of ingredients on a failed attempt in this high priced "all that" range? It's obvious after my tried and true recipes flop time and again that the temperature on both ovens is waaay out of line. I read the "biscuit test" with disbelief and disdain....really? If the biscuits aren't done, you need to calibrate? No kidding, Captain Obvious? How about you calibrate the darn thing in the factory before shipping it out? Grrr...So we find how to recalibrate, ok. Glad to find handy steps on how to do that. However, there's NO clue as to how to arrive at a true temperature other than the aforementioned "biscuit test". There's a friendly warning NOT to use a "grocery store" oven thermometer. What should I use GEnius? My HAND? Oh I know... I can bake 15 cans of biscuits adding 5 degrees to each batch times two ovens...yeah, I'll get right on that. Grrr...

Had this all-gas double oven range for 3 weeks now and have been cooking up a storm. If I have any "druthers," instead of 2 large burners in front, I'd prefer to swap the large right front burner with the medium burner at the back.
I had some concerns about the gas ovens but I made the most gorgeous lemon cake in the upper one. Huge hit with the fam.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best range I have ever used. I cook a lot and it gets put to the test. The different burner outputs are an awesome feature. The center griddle is very easy to clean so it gets used a lot more than I thought. I was concerned about keeping the stainless (under the grates) clean, but it is easier than expected. I was also concerned about removing heavy items from the lower oven. But with the roll out shelf, it is no problem. The upper oven gets used almost every day, it is just so convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had limited space in my kitchen and this range not filled the space beautifully but it is everything I wanted in a range. the burners are awesome and you have great control over your cooking. I am getting used to baking in a gas oven but so far I love having two ovens to bake in at the same time. I also wish that the upper oven had digital controls but it is a great little oven for baking small things.

somewhat dissappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dont like the size of the small burners. One should be extra small for small pots. The grates are so heavy that scratching the surface of the stove is inevitable when cleaning after use. Calibrating top oven still uses oldest method by simply turning the control valve handle and retightening the screws.Feel this oven is highly overpriced.
