Fantastic Range

I have always cooked on whatever contractor grade appliance came with the house or apartment I was renting. I saved and purchased the GE Cafe range and now I realize what I had been missing. What fantastic range. Food cooks quickly and evenly. Baking is fantastic!

great stove

I have had this stove for about a year now. I use the lower oven often baking bread three times a week. The upper oven we use for casseroles, pizza, baking cookies. Things that don't need the height the lower oven provides. The stove top works great, I like the different sizes and infinite flame control. Ok that's the positive. One negative that doesn't really reflect on the stove. The lower glow bar which ignites the oven burner has failed. I do use the oven a lot. Anyway I ordered a replacement but so far two have arrived broken. It appears they are not being packaged correctly. Number three is on the way. Like I said this packaging problem has not changed my opinion of the appliance. It's a great machine.

Loving my range

I bought this a few weeks ago and I am sooooooo happy with it. The convection oven speeds up cooking at a unbelievable rate. The upper oven is awesome. I cook for just my husband and I so we get a lot of use from the upper oven. I am looking forward to cooking my Thanksgiving turkey in the bottom oven. The controls are easy to use. I actually put the lower oven through a cleaning cycle and it worked great. I have to also spend a few seconds and rave about the probe. I have used the probe on 2 different items (chicken, duck) and it has been accurate and a time saver. Color me extremely happy with my GE Cafe Series range.

We love our new GE stove

We have had our stove for about three months now and we are in love. This stove is a high end looking and functioning stove without the high end price tag. We love the accessibility of the burners as well as the diversity of the burner sizes. The one and only complaint I have is that it is difficult to keep the stainless clean and the top grates seem to easily damage the stainless steel top with scratches so buyer be very careful when removing and replacing these for cleaning. Otherwise we would highly recommend this oven!

GE Dual Oven Cafe Series

This oven was so defective that I returned it to the store and bought a completely different manufacturer's product. The upper oven caused the burner controls to be so hot that they could not be touched, and necessitated using potholders. The heat from the upper oven was also causing the control panel for the lower oven to melt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
