Double stove troubles

We got our stove a month ago. We are still in the learning phases, but would have hoped there wasn't so much "learning" to use a simple stove. The smaller top oven is very particular. Put items on the upper rack and the tops seem to burn if you get anywhere near the normal cook time. Move them to the bottom and the bottoms burn. This is disappointing as the top oven is the major reason for the purchase. hopefully we can figure it out.

PRO: Our kitchen is small, so getting two ovens without having to reconfigure the house is great. Love the continuous cooktop as well. Have had the stove for one year and am still happy we bought it. CON: Broiling or any high temperature in the top oven makes the knobs very, very hot. Also, broiling in the top oven causes a great deal of smoke. Save that for the lower oven.

I read a lot of bad reviews about this range, but my range works flawlessly and I haven't had any of the "reported" issues that have been reported.

The double ovens are fabulous - haven't needed to use the larger one until Thanksgiving. The easy glide out racks are wonderful. The lower oven is REALLY low, so may be difficult for some people to use. I have used the flat griddle on top of range almost every day. So perfect for bacon, pancakes, grilled cheese, etc.

We purchased our very first gas range ever! Now we are learning all over again how to cook - learning that gas cooks hotter and faster and we have found that we need to cook at lower temps and keep an eye on it! However, we used the meat probe on our Thanksgiving turkey and it was so easy. Oven just shuts off when the turkey reached the set temperature. We have 15 people for dinner and the turkey (and everything else) was amazing! Family members called the next day to reinstate how good the meal was! The one thing I would say, though, it the knobs to turn the top on and off are a little questionable for me. When it is shut of right, you have to push in to turn on - sometimes I just just it when I walk by and it the knob wasn't pulled out when you turn it off, it turns back on without pushing in...

Low the power boil and simmer features

I love this stove. You cannot beat the stove top. I love the pull out rack in the oven. I wish you could have the convection/warming oven on at the same time as the regular oven. I was concerned about using it for Thanksgiving, but it performed like a champ. I was well worth the money.
