Great except for Griddle

Bought this range about a year ago and have loved just about everything on it except for the grill which is peeling the nonstick layer and is almost impossible to clean because of the grooves going down the side. We have hunted high and low for a cast iron alternative. Strangely, their lower priced oven has the cast iron reversible grill which doesn't fit this model.

just rcv'd delivery today (03/07/2015).
Very tight fit to my 30" space. I like the fact that only English language manual comes with the range! Trying the top oven. Seems working very well so far.
Like the 20000 BTU stove.

Practical problems

The oven light is so dim and far back that it is of no use when the ovens are in use, especially the top oven.
The gas valves are dangerous. They have a red dot on a fixed ring that makes it look like when glancing at the oven that they are turned off when in fact the dial may be on. They should have put a light on the panel to indicate the gas is still on when it looks like from the position of the red indicators it is off.
This should be looked at by the Federal safety commission.

great range and fun to use

I have utilized both ovens and all burners including the center griddle. In the last few weeks I have experimented with bake, roast, and the convection features of the ovens and am very pleased with the speed and evenness of cooking. I am especially thrilled with the lower ovens 'probe' when roasting and baking meats as there are no more cords dangling out of the oven. The power burners, simmer feature, and pre heat feature for the griddle are great. I now cook at what seems like lower flame settings than I have in the past. The griddle is a non-stick and non-reversible. I would prefer a Lodge style if it were to come available but am happy.

We purchased this range because it had almost all of the features we were looking for. It has a wonderful griddle in the middle and we really like the power boil burners. We wish all the burners were power boil! The only problem with the unit was that the bottom convection stove stopped working three days after we installed it due to a bad igniter. Thankfully, it was replaced in a week.
