Enjoy cooking with LP

After cooking with electricity for over 20 years I FINALLY got back to gas and am ever grateful. NOW I have a kitchen where I can COOK. I use this range like an artist's palette. AND the food tastes so much better.

Nice gas burners but problems

This range looks great, the double oven is something I always wanted and that's why I bought this product.
I love the high-BTU burner: it's outstanding and boils water in no time!
There are good things about this product and there are some issues.
I bought this oven in December, 2014 and it's had three major problems so far: As soon as I bought it, the bottom oven would not light properly. The entire oven would fill with gas and then ignite with a boom and flash of flame. The problem was that the glow coil was too far away from the gas outlet at the bottom of the oven.
In January, 2017, the circuit board blew out and the entire oven died.
Just today, 2/11/2017, the bottom oven stopped working!!! This is just a week after having the oven fixed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Scratches Too Easily

I bought this 6 weeks ago. I like the look and high BTU burners. The stovetop grates are awkward to move and they easily scratch the top front of the stovetop. This replaced a black GE Profile stove that didn't have this problem.
I can't imagine what my SS GE Cafe stove will look like at the end of the year. I don't recommend buying this stove! Disappointed!

Self cleaning

I bought this unit and absolutely love it and how it cooks amazingly, but the thing that really frustrates me is that I went to do the "Self Clean" cycle and it stuck on this and I couldn't get it to shut off. I had to pull it out, shut off the gas valve and unplug it. I didn't spend good money on a unit like this for it to not fully operate as it should. Any ideas?

Smart Looking and Great Features

My GE Range was installed in January and after having it calibrated it is exactly what I was looking for in a range. Love the cook top and all the different size burners and center grill. I have used both ovens and everything came out as expected. Have yet to use all of the features but time has not permitted. If I was to add something else to this range it would be a back light on the control panel. Other than that I am very pleased with this purchase.

The power boil burner is great for boing water for pasta, the center burner is great for flapjacks or when I need an extra burner to boil/fry and I love the dual oven because I usually don't need more than the top oven. The bottom is the perfect size for cooking a turkey. The only feature I wish this had that the matching refrigerator has is connection to my GE app which would sends alerts and allows me to manage certain features remotely.
I would recommend this to a friend!
