Great layout for cooktop. Grate could use some additional support for pans on the corners but continuous surface still better than older designs. One reason we got it was overview said control knobs could be disabled so kids or pets couldn't turn on burners & either get burned or worse have house fill with gas. Either it doesn't have that feature or we haven't found or figured out how to do it. Right now we're still taking knobs off.
In addition we had 3 of the 5 knobs crack which were replaced but seems to be a weakness there. Also touch panel is a little finicky, sometimes takes several pushes to get input in. Also center (long) burner is a little weak on output. Takes some time for griddle to get hot & then it's not sear a steak hot.

Cons: no filler pieces to close in between stove & count

WHEN it's working it's good.. but...

I bought this stove about a year ago. Within one month the main mother board broke. It took a few weeks to get it fixed. Now, one year later the oven's igniter broke, here's another few weeks to fix it. Was happy with it but now I'm just very frustrated and very nervous that this range isn't built to last. And it seems to break right before Thanksgiving each year. So, not very happy with Samsung right now. Just bought a refrigerator... it's not a Samsung!!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've this range for about three years and though it performs very well with good power, the knobs break very easily. First it gets very loose, then if you examine the underside, you'll see they crack at the short stem that gets inserted into the range that controls the gas. I've replaced at least 6 of the knobs.
Now, my range is out of warranty and I have no choice but to pay for another set of poorly designed knobs.
