I was out of all colors, have not used colored ink in years. Bought black when it ran out. Unusable unless you also purchase colors which I neither want nor need. Don’t appreciate being forced to purchase something I don’t need just to use their printers. Will purchase different brand that only prints black.
Although the cost is much higher, the other cheaper inks leak and do not last as long. Having to clean the printer takes time and in some cases spots the new paper which costs more in paper cost.
I installed the black cartridge. Page printed blank. Unloaded and reloaded. Same results. Changed printer to blue. Prints OK. Tried black again. Still does not print.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there,
I am saddened to hear that you aren't getting the cartridge to print well. However, I believe that there might be an easy solution.
It could be that the printhead's tiny nozzles have gotten clogged so the ink does not get through very well. You can use the printer's automatic cleaning routine to clear them.
If that works, you can often avoid clogs by either leaving the printer on all the time (if you are printing frequently, so it does regular maintenance routines to clear the nozzles) or if you turn it off between uses, be sure to use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off.
The ink is good. HP makes their printers so you really need to use genuine HP ink as other cartridges and some refills won't work. The ink is extremely over priced and anyone with an HP printer has no choice other than to over spend on the ink. I won't buy another HP product as a result.
