It's great, but ....

The print quality isn't as good at the 3700 dn I replaced. Pictures are printed with a lot of banding showing up even on high grade photo stock. It's fast and easy to use and has tons of applications that make is very valuable for a small office.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Set-up was a breeze, did not take long at all. I love the wireless operation of this printer - at home thru WiFi and from the network using printer's e-mail address. So far I have tried making copies, scanning and printing from the computer, printer app and IPhone -- they all worked fine. I like the touch screen for all the functions - makes it very easy. ADF and 2-sided printing and scanning are a plus. It is like one of those professional printers. My only problem is that warranty status of my printer on HP's website (using automatic detection) states that warranty expired on 09/28/2012 - I just bought the printer on 2/18/2013. HP support person said they have fixed it, and use manual method as automatic method is reading more than 10 digits and their system does not recognize the serial number of more than 10 digits. (Printer's serial number on the back has 10 digits, but when you check it on the screen using help, it shows 4 extra digits at the end - which is being read by the HP system. HP support was very helpful and explained problems clearly and fixed it right away.

I've been useing the HP 8500 for about 3 years and with all the printing my wife does for work I bought the 8600 to give more paper useage. so far this printer even out does our 8500. This is about the best printer so far for ink useage . Great Printer

I really like this printer, especially the feed for the scanner. Now I don't have to put one sheet at a time on the scan glass. The two trays hold plenty of paper so I don't have to worry about running out of paper all the time. The setup is straight forward and simple. Wireless setup is a breeze. I especially like that HP offered the three year next day replacement when I registered the printer at what I thought was a very reasonable price, which I took advantage of.. Also I really like being able to print from my phone and tablet.

Easy set up

I couldn't believe how easy it was to set up!!! I was expecting an all day project and then a call to customer service. But it only took me 30 mins. to set up and it actually works!!!!! It doesn't take up much space and looks very nice. I would buy it again.

since you asked for a review, you're going to get one. I purchased the 8600 premium. the printer works great otherwise, easy to hook up. It upgraded it's own software, print quality is above average and the drawer is a great place to store extra ink, just don't put paper in it or in the event of power failure or hard reset of the printer it will pull a sheet on P.O.S.T. and then not know where it came from or that there is more down there. I would have liked to have the extra capacity but it's not a deal breaker

Great All in One printer

Excellent scanning for letter and legal sized documents. Change between page size has to be done through software (click icon on your desktop). Cannot be done through unit screen where everything else is done.
